Cops are people. And as such, fallible.

I wish they would. I'd love to be able to trust emergency responders again, instead of being unwilling to call them even when someone is coughing up blood, or a burglary is happening.

Right now, I'd rather cope than call 911. And I will.

And demand the budgets for emergency responders be reduced until they are trustworthy again, and police their own.

It's sorta up to us to have their backs on that, and stop that BS.

Taxpayers do control the budget after all, in a fashion.

You can discuss a strong-mayor city government with the city administrator (have smelling salts). Just don't threaten them with that in Texas, some drunk DA could get you indicted.
