A member of the Islamic State (IS, formerly known as ISIS) has threatened that the organization would soon use unmanned drones to attack Israel.
The IS member, a Canadian who left his country to fight alongside the IS in the areas of Iraq and Syria it declared to be an Islamic Caliphate, claimed on Twitter that the group was developing these drones and that they would be unveiled in the near future.
He further said that engineers who studied in the West are working on the drones.
IS, he wrote, is expected to make use of these drones to attack targets in Baghdad, Kurdistan, Syria, "occupied Palestine" and the United States.
He added that the drones used to attack targets in the United States would be launched from Mexico.

Redundancy would seem a good thing! GPS and pattern matching together would lessen the need for human guidance; a guided drone could be jammed. I suppose anything could be defeated; a chemical-powered EMP still might fry any drone nearby.
Our military have been using drones to kill enemies in Pakistan and Afghanistan for years now. Drones can be lethal - it’s according to what you put on them and where they are directed.

Yes, as I’ve stated previously in this thread and others, our military has been using armed Drones for years.
Once again, as I’ve stated previously in this thread and others, that capability is not widespread and it is not a simple technology to acquire or master, and right now at this point in time the claims made in the story posted in this thread are neither credible nor believable.
That depends upon who in the US does the attacking and destroying. Not to mention how long the intestinal fortitude of Americans will last when it begins. If I were leading that task force (and it’s a good thing I never will), I would insure that it would not happen again if it meant scorching the earth for however many hundreds of miles going south until the attacks stopped permanently. And I mean absolutely nothing would live in the areas being cleared, up to and including “salting” the earth with enough radioactive particles to kill anything that enters the region (perhaps large scale Neutron guns would be an interesting variant). I’m not prepared to do a half ass job and will see it through to the end no matter what the media cries about and no matter what the country cries about concerning my tactics as long as the results are to completely and permanently stop any attacks coming over the border.
If I was leading Israel, the Gaza Strip would be emptied of Palestinians and they would be sent back to their true countries of origin and the Gaza strip would be annexed.
If you’re not prepared to either defend yourself or annihilate those who are attacking you and/or attempting to terrorize you, you need to go sit in a corner and wait for your self declared enemy to come and end your life for you, or please, by all means, end it yourself and get out of the way of the warriors (not targeted at you specifically).
