Dem Senator Calls For Boycott Of Burger King, Tells Consumers To Eat At Wendy’s
CBS/AssPress ^ | Aug 26, 2014

Burger King says it struck a deal to buy Tim Hortons Inc. for about $11 billion, a move that creates the world’s third-largest fast-food company and could accelerate the international expansion of the Canadian coffee and doughnut chain.

The corporate headquarters of the new company will be in Canada. The two brands will continue to be run as stand-alone chains, with Burger King still operating out of Miami.

Some analysts have suggested that Canada’s lower tax rates stand to benefit Burger King over time. But Burger King said that’s the not main motivation for the deal.

Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, is calling for a boycott of Burger King.... Brown called for a creation of a global minimum tax rate.

“We need an immediate fix to forestall a flood of these dangerous inversions and a long term solution that lowers corporate tax rates while instituting a country-by-country global minimum tax,” Brown added.

A Democrat opposes Burger King? Haven’t eaten there in months, but maybe it is time for a sandwich.

they just double down on their losing ideas. ....because to admit that they're wrong would destroy their entire belief structure. Can't challenge the dogma.

The governor of Ohio on 1974 to 1981 was the biggest investor in Wendy’ ( which are the worst burgers I’ve never eaten). He was a Dem so no wonder Brown is sticking up for the chain. They get a LOT of money. Bravo! Burger le Rois!

The current Forbes declares White Castle to be a failing enterprise.

Regarding the boycott, I would suspect the people that eat at Burger King have no clue about the merger and it’s effects

It takes a Democrat to ignore a serious tax issue and then seek to punish human nature.

The two brands will continue to be run as stand-alone chains,

That’s too bad, I was kind of looking forward to
a flame broiled beef patty between two tasty doughnuts...

He (idiot nephew) came to DC, and apparently walked up and down the hall in front of his office just to get a little wave. and he is still swooning over it.
“he WAVED at me!!!”

Senator, you DO know that the difference between a free country and a tyranny is indicated by which way the guns are pointed at the boarder, right?

Warren Buffet seems to hold great favor with Obama. Rearranging American money (wealth) is the largest play piece on the board.

Breaking America fiscally has been the methodology used by this crowd since the beginning. It’s the engine that drives the dismantlement effort to put old, traditional, whitey America in its place.

Buffet probably rocks at all that. If it pays Buffet plays.

We’ll since the dem is recommending Wendy’s I will eat just about anywhere else. Wendy’s must be trying to climb in the bed with government. Guess I will just eat chic-fil-a when I do not have time to cook.
