Thursday on MSNBC's "José Díaz-Balart," Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) said President Barack Obama should use an executive order and grant amnesty to an estimated 5 million illegal immigrants already living in the United States because it will "quell some of the unrest" caused by "racial overtones" of anti immigration rhetoric. He said, "Latinos that are fourth, fifth generation -- they see this as a civil rights issue."
Grijalva said Obama's amnesty, "Will quell some of the unrest that we are seeing in our communities and the racial overtones that continue to build around this issue."
He explained, "The issue of immigration that for a while was sanitized. We just talked about immigration as a federal policy that needed to be reformed. What has happened is that more and more of the rhetoric has racial undertones and overtones and in many parts of our community, for those people of color, in particular, latinos that are fourth, fifth generation, they see this as a civil rights issue in terms of who is being demeaned and demonized by the Steve Kings of the world on the air.

I heard on the radio about a poll where 30% of Mexicans say they would come to the US if they could.
Instead of worrying about ISIS, how about we declare war on Mexico, go down there and clean that place up so decent folks could stay and work there, instead of moving here?
Make the world safe for democracy? No way! Make Mexico safe for democracy? Well, maybe. It’s certainly something to think about and — maybe — threaten. War with Mexico radical? No more radical than Obama using executive orders to “legalize” 5 to 10 million illegal invaders.
Amnesty Will Increase Latino Racial Unrest
Your wrong - is mostly wrong. I agree we are stuck with our debt-ridden activist government until it collapses, when ever that may be. YES, the USA with a limited government and stable, not fiat currency would be very strong economically, which would attract immigrants - as it did in the 19th century. But with a government limited by the inability to over-borrow, its nature would change greatly, as would the politics of this country. Immigrants would become individuals again, not racial voting blocks. You need to understand the huge but invisible changes a fiat currency forces on a country.
A country has the right to decide who is admitted. Illegal aliens are and should be denied amnesty because they are breaking our laws - they refuse to go through the legal process and feel they should get special treatment. They are not denied amnesty because of their race.
Must quell Latino unrest.
