Well, if the mob was still runnin' it, they wouldn't dare go near Vegas. Now, with so many tourists in the city every day, the panic would be mind boggling.

It would not be to hard to contaminate every buffet in town on the same day.

It would overwhelm the hospitals and emergency services.

Why would islam be afraid of mobsters?

Islamists could take out the mob businesses in no time and shutdown tourism to the city.

The four casinos around MGM have upwards of 20K “tourists” on weekends...The “Mob” would take ISIS “swimming” in the desert. Doubt if ISIS will fear a few MRAPS rolling down Las Vegas Blvd. Been there. Done that...

The city has received anti-terrorism grants for years from the Department of Homeland Security.

I’m not so sure Cosa Nostra are much of a threat to AQ or ISIS anymore. They mostly want to keep their boat afloat. They might do an assasination if one of their kids got shot though, but knowing how Cosa Nostra operates, that would be pretty hard, even for them, to get the job done.

The U.S. government has known for quite some time that Vegas—a symbol of Western decadence—is a prime target,

If this were really about Islam then the logical target would be Los Angeles or San Francisco. LA for the filth it puts out in movies, entertainment etc. and San Francisco for it's moral depravity. However ironically leftists are generally the biggest supporters of terrorism.

Detroit is a much more accurate symbol of Western Decadence than Las Vegas.

They better not go to that pawn shop. They could walk into that pawn shop with $10,000 in cash and try to pawn it and those guys would offer them 37 cents.

“I have to make some money, too!”

It wouldn’t be hard or require a lot of actors to create chaos in any urban area.
