I remember the days when this thread would easily get up to 300 plus posts a night, and we were hounding Mark to go to three hours....Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh those were the days!!
Was that during the 2008, 2010 or 2012 elections? Or just every night? I don’t remember any mega-threads since March 2012, when I began participating...
They were earlier...round 2006 and on.....before the mass “banishments” started happening..
Especially long threads when Rescuing Sprite came out. SOme of those threads were hysterical! Especially when Mark participated in the chat.
Nope every night. That was pre-purges, a lot of people got sick of the zots and intimidation, some have passed, some just quit FR all together.
Back in the hay days this thread was easily the biggest and would routinely get 300 posts every night. I think our record was 900+ posts on one thread one night. Mags is right, we begged Mark to go 3 hours, back in the day he posted here, and when he did that’s when the thread started to decline. Can’t remember when that was but it was around or just before 2008 I think.

I don’t care if they like/respect each other or not, the only two I’ve heard
speak the truth lately are Savage and Mark!
Fridays were special too. Before Mark went three hours and the thread ended at 8PMest we all posted patriotic GIFs when Mark would play Ray’s “God Bless America” as fast as we could before the song ended...it was pretty cool. When it started ending at 9pm so many people were no longer around Fridays really lost its special appeal.
Just Lori was a huge part of that Pic-A-Thon!! Man, those were the days!!
For me it all started with the Tony Snow morning live threads. And he was a FReeper too and used to participate like Mark used to. Then when Bush hired him he had FR delete all his posts and he never came back, the he passed away :o(
I started on the Long War thread...when the Iraq Afghani war kicked off....I had been a lurker before then...
I was so hooked that for a while BahBah even had me watching CSPAN and commenting on her CSPAN thread,,,I miss her, too.
We had a bit of this this afternoon here in Western Pa....mostly downpour......bit of wind. But read you’d be getting hit there. Stay dry and safe!
I remember when I taught Bahbah HTML through FReepmail so she could post her GIFs on the Friday Night Ray Day thread. She was so happy!

There were 2 marriages happen on that thread also. eeevil conservative and mnjohnnie and cibco and i forget her handle.

Is Eevil still married? (I got the impression thsat she was not either married to him at all, or married and divorced ...I remember the other two...the female half is on the thread from time to time, but her handle escapes me.
I don’t know, she hasn’t posted in a long time. She did post a pic of them as being marred.
