China accuses MPs of Hong Kong 'interference'

The Chinese authorities have accused British MPs of interfering in Hong Kong's affairs, Newsnight has learned.

They are trying to block an influential Westminster committee from carrying out an inquiry into the ongoing tensions in Hong Kong.

It comes as thousands of activists in Hong Kong protest at Chinese government moves which they say will limit democratic elections in the territory.

In a strongly worded letter, the Chinese Foreign Affairs Committee accuses its UK counterpart of carrying out a "highly inappropriate act which constitutes interference in China's internal affairs".

The letter says it has "sent a wrong political signal to the outside world, and disrupted Hong Kong's political reform".

The letter goes on to say China will "brook no interference, either directly or indirectly, from the UK or any other external forces".

I find it interesting how the British easily exert their influence in Hong Kong with a timid response from China.

This "Occupy" movement? Is it a casual copycat name, or coordinated by the same shadow governments in control at a global level?

Another painful fact that Obama has made obvious is that the pretense is played on a Global level. It is no accident that drug legalization campaigns, pretending to be citizen activism, are being plotted at a global level. David Rockefeller is behind Soros, who is behind Obama, who else is behind the curtains?

Agreed, but China plays the big, bad, dragon is Asia and with the US. I find Asia response to Britain timid.

As noble as Britain may seem to want to maintain freedom in Hong Kong, the British have a sordid history in China, with the Opium Wars, and HSBC.

HSBC alone got away with laundering hundreds$, of millions, for drug kingpins, and terrorists. That is only the part we know about. Search any Wall Street bank and ‘money laundering’ and they have all been caught. Only because of investigations after 9/11 and private law suits. The SEC feigns punishment with silly fines, which are known to have been paid with “Federal Reserve Loans”, the fines are known to be used by AG Holder for leftist causes.

Who are the bad guys, perhaps the Chinese are as much victims of their own manchurian government, as we are?
