According to Gallup's daily tracking poll of President Obama's approval rating, the president lost 5 whole points overnight and for the first time since July, his job approval rating is back on the 30's. Tuesday, Obama stood at 42% approval, 52% disapproval. Wednesday the numbers sit at 39-54%.
The president is 15 points underwater.

I'm sure they know Obama stinks as president, but all they are focused on is that they helped elect the first black president. And now they are hell bent on electing the first woman president. Competence, education and experience don't mean a thing.

It's impossible to talk to these people. They are so firmly entrenched. Essentially, they have to see the error of their ways themselves.
My aunt has become increasingly conservative since she realized that the Democratic Party no longer represents her Christian values (if it ever did). My brother found out he made a mistake when he saw his medical insurance bill, thanks to Obamacare). But for most of my family friends, the excrement hasn't hit the fan yet.
I could distance myself from my family and friends, but then I'd have nobody. The people were exceptionally good to me when I got sick. I really can't abandon them now. So for the most part, we don't talk politics, but if we do, we state a position and that's it.

I listen to some of CSPAN on the radio in the car each weekday during the first call-in segment between 7 and 8am.
Today was typical, a black and then a black woman called in and repeated the same points :
President Obama is doing the exact right things now..
We had war the past 10 years and he is still cleaning up Bush's mess.
Republicans just hate our president personally (because he is black) so he must go around them to get things done.
Republicans do nothing and want nothing done, all they care about is the rich.
Maybe his ratings will go back up when he gets his clown suit back from the cleaners and doesn’t have to wear that awful ‘tan’ suit any more. I’m sure that suit is the reason for his ratings drop .... yeah, that’s it .... I’m sure it is .... it’s the SUIT’S FAULT.
I live in Maryland so the women here on the average tend to be pretty liberal.
With one exception every black woman I have met talks like Obama is their son or brother. I met one who is a fanatic, she gave $5K to his reelection campaign and turns on Rev Al on every night at 6pm after work (and makes a show of it) and she works for Social Security,
I have seen a few younger white women watching FNC’s The Five at our Gym/Fitness center on the TV sets on their machine. Now obviously the Five is a pretty tame(or lame) show where Republican moderates can go (watch) .
But at least they are not watching Rev Al, unlike that Obama worshiping psycho I mentioned above.
