In an exclusive interview with Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd, President Barack Obama defended his decision to delay executive action on immigration, saying the summers surge of unaccompanied children at the Mexican border changed the politics of the issue.

I think you are correct about him not running the show, I think he is just a placeholder.
According to various articles I have read on FR recently, roughly 10% of the workforce in california consists of illegal aliens, 30% of school age children there do not speak english, and the governor is proud of that fact(!?!!). That says a lot.
La raza and mecha are state sponsored terrorist organizations supported by the mexican government, with the help of US politicians and their special interests, and financed by the mexican drug cartels. Round all of them up, and send them back to mexico, either whole, or in pieces, your choice.
Oh, and build the damn fence!
It may be too late for a fence at this point. Demography is destiny. What Brown has done is declare surrender to the invasion forces.
Yes, take away the jobs and don’t forget social services. Many now come for handouts and not jobs to begin with. No jobs, no handouts and deport as they are encountered by any type of LEO...easy way to stop it. Fully enforce all laws against the individual illegals, employers, and all that assist them. Finish the fence, secure the border, and put Border Patrol back on the border so we don’t have to rinse and repeat.
That picture of the cattle fence is exactly what the border looks like here. It was all by design, the border fences and barriers were built in areas to be seen by Americans. As soon as you get away from areas that can be seen from a highway, nothing has changed. Not even vehicle barriers of any kind- much less a real fence. On the highway here that goes to the border there is a nice looking Normandy vehicle barrier fence on the border- it literally goes up a small rise/hill on each side of the highway and stops just as it gets out of sight. Very deliberate.
I never heard it put that way, but you nailed it! :o)
Without a serious fence system for the Border Patrol to actually watch and guard, the BP is forced to defend in depth. The southern border is 2,019 miles from sea to sea. If the Border Patrol check points are 40 miles from the border, agents must roam across an area of 80,000 square miles seeking illegal immigrants. This is a fools errand, deliberately futile. 80,000 square miles is the size of Idaho or Kansas.
The same number of border patrol agents actually guarding a physical barrier means that every inch of the border is under observation at all times. For example, anybody carrying a ladder to the fence will be seen, and stopped by nearby Border Patrol agents who react to their approach. That is why the San Diego fence is so effective. It needs to be extended across the entire border. Or, we can keep play-acting at border security, with the Border Patrol playing Keystone Kops across 80,000 square miles of rough scrub land terrain.
