He regrets being caught. The man child narcissist.
Why? Tears make for great optics.
His chief regret is that he played several strokes over par.

The pResident and his boyfriends were playing a big round of golf for $2000 of your tax dollars. At the eighteenth green Barry had a ten foot putt to win the round, and the $2000.
As he was lining up his putt, a funeral procession started to pass by. He set down his putter, took his hat off, placed it over his chest, and began to wait for all the cars to pass. After it passed, he picked up his putter and returned to lining up his putt.
One of his toads gushed, “That was the most touching thing I have ever seen. I can’t believe you stopped playing, possibly loosing your concentration, to pay your respects.”
“It was just one of our reporters, a guy named—well, I forget—but he was wacked by some Brothers due to my feckless job as president on the WOT, uh, like those Benghazi guys.”
“So I wanted to anticipate the optics. Double the bet, with the usual requirement that I only gotta get within five feet of the hole?”
He doesn’t regret playing golf-he regrets how it made him look. That’s exactly what he said.

I remember that video of Clinton laughing with someone at a funeral. As soon as he noticed a video camera pointing his way, he started pretending to cry while wiping away fake tears. Clinton was all about theatrics. Obama can’t get anything right, not even the theatrics of pretense.
He should anticipate a different sort of optics, actually. Something around 4x magnification seems to have been used previously.
One, distance.
Two, doubtful that there will be another inauguration.
Always had fun on golf courses. My first business endeavor was fishing golf balls from ponds and streams. Then selling them to golfers. Oops. Hope the IRS does not read that. Heck, probably did not even have a ss number then.
