I’m probably older than you and I’m glad you don’t curse at people who work in fast food joints.

I think a huge problem with modern retail is the awful training provided by the company itself. Throwing young people into working with the general public - without a real knowledge of the business/product - is disastrous.

the signs are not even legally binding

The "no guns" sign is the new "no dogs and Chinese" sign.

As I understand from my CC instructor, one is in violation of the law if one carries into an establishment with a legally posted 30.06 sign or one of the several always prohibited areas such as a school or a building where over __% of the sales is derived from alcohol(like a bar, but not a TGIF).

Also, a CC holder is obligated to leave the premises if any proprietor discerns a weapon on an individual that would otherwise be concealed.

That’s my understanding, as the instructor was very specific.

Your instructor is correct. 51% sales derived from alcohol, the state defined sign must be displayed prominently in order for a CC to be prohibited. Again, the establishments mentioned in this article have not posted the 30.06 sign here in Texas thereby prohibiting all weapons from the premises. The desires of any corporate individuals can only be legally expressed through the posting of the 30.06 sign.

“The desires of any corporate individuals can only be legally expressed through the posting of the 30.06 sign.”

My understanding is that one is also in violation even if a 30.06 sign is not posted if the establishment notices a weapon that is not concealed and requests that the bearer remove himself from the premises. That in itself a legal posting.
