Voter fraud probe roils Ga. Senate race
The Hill ^ | September 12, 2014 | Alexandra Jaffe

Posted on 09/12/2014 9:40:56 AM PDT by jazusamo

A group helmed by a major donor and policy adviser to Democratic Senate candidate Michele Nunn is under investigation by the Georgia secretary of State for alleged voter fraud.

Secretary of State Brian Kemp (R) said in a memo, reported by WSB-TV, that his office has “received numerous complaints about voter applications submitted by the New Georgia Project,” an organization launched to register and turn out voters to the polls.

“Preliminary investigation has revealed significant illegal activities, including forged voter registration applications, forged signatures on releases, and applications with false or inaccurate information,” Kemp wrote in the memo.

Nunn is running against Republican David Perdue for a Senate seat left open by the retirement of Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.). Democrats see the race as a pick-up opportunity in a year where they are largely playing defense.

Most polls have shown a close race, with Perdue leading Nunn by three points in the most recent survey, conducted earlier this month.

Republicans are seizing on the allegations against the New Georgia Project to tarnish Nunn, suggesting the group was part of a larger effort by Democrats to “expand the electorate by any means necessary.”

“The serious allegations of illegal activities and potential fraud from liberal voter registration groups are outrageous and should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law,” said Perdue spokeswoman Megan Whittemore.

The New Georgia Project and its parent organization, Third Sector Development, were issued subpoenas this week demanding documents relating to the allegations be turned over to the Georgia Election Board by Sept. 19.

Third Sector Development is run by Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams (D), who has contributed to Nunn’s campaign and was listed on an official campaign strategy document as a proposed member of a group of potential policy advisers.

Abrams said in a statement she was “saddened” by the subpoenas, and that the group is working to comply with them.

“The abrupt release of this subpoena saddens me as I know the efforts of this organization have been done with the mission of increasing voter registration and engagement in the most disadvantaged and underserved groups in the state,” she said.

“The New Georgia Project team has worked directly with the Secretary of State’s Office every step of the way, seeking to address any concerns raised by their office or by the counties, to share information and be transparent on our work.”

A spokesman for the group, Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock, said he was hopeful “that this investigation by the Secretary of State is not intended to thwart efforts to enfranchise voters."

Perdue's campaign accused the group of tampering with the election process.

“The fact that an organization led by a well-known Nunn supporter would attempt to illegally register voters is unacceptable and reminiscent of the Obama-political machine’s ACORN scandal. There is nothing more fundamental to our democratic process than maintaining the integrity of our elections and any attempt to tamper with them is deplorable.”

of course the racist card was also played when many of them were busted.

I remember back in 2008 two college guys saying they voted in their home state and here because they wanted Obama to win both of their states and they found all of it funny.

Maybe college kids should not be able to vote in the state where they go to school and only vote in their home state, because they too are scamming the system.

The voting age should be 21 too, makes no sense a high school kid can vote but a 20 year cannot drink a beer legally.
Yet voting decides the way the country goes

You’re right of course about the areas of concern.

The problem is that there are indeed enough of these areas around the Atlanta Metro (Dekalb and Clayton counties are two prime examples) where fraud volumes could be significant enough to tip 3% if turnout is high.

We’re talking a metro area of at least 8 million (including illegals) in a state with a 10 million total (legal census).

Let’s hope the younger GA voters don’t recall the Sam Nunn era; many may not. But any Georgian worth his salt adores Sam Nunn, why, I never knew.

Better crosscheck Obamacare applications w/ voter rolls----healthcare.gov is also a voter registration site.

Obamacare is a HUGE voter fraud machine----plugging unsuspecting enrollees into Democrat voter rolls.

==================================================

REALITY CHECK Local couple upset after receiving pre-marked voter registration card from "Covered California" (Cali O/Care)
10news | 03-29-2014 | Preston Phillips / FR Posted by Kevin in California

A local couple called 10News concerned after they received an envelope from the state's Obamacare website, "Covered California." Inside was a letter discussing voter registration and a registration card pre-marked with an "x" in the box next to Democratic Party.

=============================================

Ut-oh. Another surprise (cackle). Turns out Obamacare is also a vehicle for consolidating Dummycrat power.....w/ a multi-billion dollar slush fund.

The Untraceable $8 Billion ObamaCare PR Budget---truly govt fraud at its finest. Egged on by Pelosi, no one in Congress told Americans about Section 4002---which mandates an $8B untraceable fund to "promote" Obamacare (apparently b/c Boobamba had so little confidence in his signature legislation).

In 2010 Taxpayers are extorted $500 million, in 2011, $750 million, 2012, $1 billion, 2013, $1.25 billion, 2014, $1.5 billion and in 2015 and on, $2 billion........

....the reasons for all those O/Care delays, fixits, exemptions, waivers, extensions, etc, are becoming crystal clear.

Third Sector Development is run by Democrat and Georgia House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams, who has contributed to Democrat Michele Nunn’s campaign and was listed on an official campaign strategy document as a proposed member of a group of potential policy advisers.

"The New Georgia Project” is a Democrat organization launched to register and turn out voters to the polls. Preliminary investigation has revealed significant illegal activities, including (1) forged voter registration applications, (2) forged signatures on releases, and, (3) applications with false or inaccurate information.

===================================================

Did The New Georgia Project, and its parent organization, Third Sector Development, falsify official documents? Every official document filed should be scrutinized for possible criminal activity.

Perjury, forgery, govt fraud, and voter fraud need to be considered. For example: voters may have coached voters to lie on registration forms, and perhaps used falsified names on candidacy petitions.

Falsifying Official Public Documents involves altering, changing, or modifying a document for the purpose of deception.......can also involve forgery and/or passing copies of false documents. Falsifying documents is usually done in connection with broader criminal aims, such as extortion, government fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, financing terrorism........

A person (or persons) can be held criminally liable if they are deliberately acting with the intention of deceiving or defrauding another party.

Falsifying documents is a very serious offense and is generally classified as a felony. This means that a person charged with falsifying documents may be subject to the following legal penalties:
◾Having to pay a monetary fine
◾Incarceration in a prison facility

Depending on the gravity of the offense, as well as individual state laws, falsifying documents can result in a prison sentence of 5-10 years. Also, if government documents or authorities were involved, the legal penalties may be more severe. ..... legal penalties may increase with repeat offenses.

The penalty for falsifying government documents is outlined in the Crimes Act of 1958.

Democratic Senate candidate Michele Nunn's factotums are under investigation by the Georgia secretary of State for alleged voter fraud.

Have Nunn's campaign donations been scrutinized? Wonder if she's getting a cut of this?

==============================================

Obama's obsessive non-stop fund raising among the smug/stupid Democrat elite is beginning to look sinister. The world smolders but the Dumobcrat ding-a-lings soldier on w/ big bucks fund-raising.

REALITY CHECK Could this be a WH/Democrat Ponzi scheme in progress?

While they bash Wall Street publicly, leaders of the Democrats' mega-funder "The Democracy Alliance" have quietly recruited venture capitalists, bankers and hedge fund moguls -- along with union bosses and red-diaper trust fund babies -- to fund their takeover goals. ....$230,000 public school union dues go to the Democrats' "Democracy Alliance."

"The Democracy Alliance" does not itself raise and spend a great deal of money. Rather, being a partner in the Alliance requires one to contribute large amounts to other left-wing groups. The Alliance evaluates left-wing organizations on various criteria, and makes recommendations to its members as to where they should put their money. Currently, the Alliance lists 21 groups in its “Aligned Network”:

<><> America Votes, American Constitution Society, Black Civic Engagement Fund, Brennan Center, Catalyst, Center for American Progress, Center for Community Change, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Common Purpose Project, Fund for the Republic, Latino Engagement Fund, Media Matters for America, New Media Ventures, New Organizing Institute, Organizing For Action, Progressive Majority, Progress Now, State Engagement Initiative, State Voices, Women’s Equality Center and Youth Engagement Fund.<><>

The most interesting of the D/A documents that have come to light is the one that contains D/A’s “investment recommendations” for 2014. Not only does it list the recommended organizations, but it rates each organization in several categories, sets out the group’s budget for 2014, and shows how much of that budget should be contributed by the 100 members of the "Democracy Alliance." One category in which DA rates the organizations is “Collaboration,” as DA believes that all left-wing groups should coordinate their activities for maximum political impact.

Opportunistic pols like Harry Reid have denounced Charles and David Koch, and others, who contribute to conservative causes as “shadowy,” “secretive” people who dare infest politics with “dark money.”

In that context, it is worth noting that most of the groups to which the Alliance and its elite liberal members contribute are 501(c)(4)s that do not disclose their donors.

===============================================

ANALYSIS Buncha sap-happy Dummy/dopes are feeding the Democrats' Democracy Alliance lotsa money---thinking its safe.....going to a "good thing."

That's exactly how Madoff operated. Money-laundering, tax evasion was part of the Madoff mix---helping investors, foundations, and tax-exempts break the law in a seemingly legal way.

Madoff helped himself to the untraceable money in the process.....and got himself in trouble. When he went to jail for 125 years, investigators found Ponzi King Madoff had stashed billions offshore---into a labyrinth of financial entities.

COLLUSION AND CONSPIRACIES GALORE Some $8.9 billion was funneled to Madoff through a dozen so-called feeder funds based in Europe, the Caribbean and Central America......a labyrinth of hedge funds, management companies and service providers that, to unsuspecting outsiders, seemed to compose a formidable system of checks and balances.

But the purpose of this complex financial architecture was just the opposite: the feeder funds provided different modes for directing money to Madoff in order to avoid scrutiny.

Dummycrats apparently took notes.

============================================

Harry Reid is forever denouncing the Koch brothers, and others who contribute to conservative causes, labeling them as “shadowy,” “secretive” people who infest politics with “dark money.” ........but Harry has no problem with the Democracy Alliance's arch-secrecy since they are his Dummycrat comrades.

Keep in mind ......most of the groups to which the lib-loving Democracy Alliance and its elite liberal members contribute are 501(c)(4)s that do not disclose their donors. In fact, this is addressed in a “FAQ” in one of the DA documents....which was not intended for they eyes of the conservative riff-raff.

I don’t think the younger voters even know who Sam Nunn is. I never was that impressed with the guy. He was just another Democrat. He was no Zell Miller that’s for sure.

If you're a Georgian I'm sure you've seen the TV ads in which ole Zell endorses Ms Nunn. I've lost all the respect I once had for him when he spoke at the GOP convention a few years ago. If he can reverse course 180 degrees and campaign for an anti-American Democrat he's certainly not the non-partisan patriot I once thought he was.

I hope its just his senility that allows him to support her. I don't think he would have done so a decade or more ago, but then who can say what evil lurks in the hearts of Democrats? Not even the Shadow knows.

Hopefully it will get more coverage, I would expect more when SOS Kemp brings out more evidence of voter registration fraud.

It seems Nunn's ties to this are through Stacy Abrams. The below article goes into the connections between the two.

I’m surprised that Zell endorsed her but Sam Nunn prolly put the old good buddy squeeze on him. Her campaign is on life support. Perdue is leading by 6 pts.

Sam Nunn came up with “don’t ask, don’t tell.” I wonder if he has repudiated his own idea. You’d be surprised how many older Georgians still adore him.
