Nearly fifty senior commanders of a major coalition of Islamic 'moderates' opposed to ISIS in Syria have been killed by an explosion at their secret command bunker as they met to discuss strategy against the the Islamic State.
The blast in the Northwest region of Idlib, Syria on Tuesday killed senior members of rebel group the Ahrar-al-Sham brigade (AaS), including leader Hassan Abboud and 45 others including senior members from other rebel alliance groups, reports The Times. The Idlib region stands in AaS territory, but it is close to the front-line with ISIS in neighbouring Aleppo.

Thats funny. I know from real experience with real people nearly killed by moderate muslims in a suicide bombing that they aren’t.

Then why not produce the Islamic principle these Arabs (as opposed to muslims) are operating under that comports with traditional islamic teaching?
Those killed were Ahrar al-Sham brigade, hard core terrorists. Always were.
Early 2012 the CIA was organizing shipment of arms from Qatar and Saudi Arabia through Turkey to “moderate Syrian rebels”[1]. September 2012 Petraeus was visiting Turkey to “vet” and “shape” the Syrian opposition.[2]
This was well before Obama’s “red line” (Assad’s alleged use of chemical weapons)

What is happening in Syria is what happened in Libya.
Arms are supplied from Qatar et al to “rebels” and the US provides air power. The government is overthrown and Islamists take over.
I’ll believe in “moderate muslims” when I see one stand up for religious tolerance in the face of overwhelming extremist superiority.
I don’t know why some in the west think they repeat the same fantasy to themselves over and over that it will magically be true. But then again, it is the liberal belief structure to do so.
Anyone with friends/relatives that did time in the sandbox has heard story after first hand experienced story about the ‘moderates’ there. So anyone here claiming that it is nonsense is literally saying all those American soldiers are liars.
Bottom line. Someone is lying. Muslims or tens of thousands of returning vets. Sad that some here have chosen to side with the muslims now that the wind shifted against them huh? Where did we hear something like that before?

There is that for sure. But I think a lot of it is beyond that. I think a lot of the apologists want the hell that comes with Islam because they hate the American way more than they hate Sharia. They just think as collaborators/ ‘friends’ to the muslims, the alligator will bite them last. See also fable of frog/scorpion. They can’t get their licks in and ‘change’ things so they will just side with those that think they can.
Don’t put any such childish reasoning past any people stupid enough to make excuses for muslims. There is SOMETHING here they hate otherwise why help empower the ‘change’?

You incorrectly assume I can go visit the individuals and extract what is in their mind and report it to a person with an imperfect understanding of Islamic thought derived from theoretical studies.
