The NFL, already swamped with negative news in what has been a horrible week for the league, now has to deal with Adrian Peterson, one of its biggest stars, being indicted for injuring a child.
Multiple reports, including TMZ, Fox Sports and the Fox affiliate in Houston, said Peterson was indicted on Thursday in Montgomery County for reckless or negligent injury to a child. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said the indictment stems from Peterson disciplining his son with a switch, which is a flexible rod.

Here we go again with “NFL” issues.
He was just too Nineteenth Century.
This is bad for the NFL, especially involving a kid.

That story is that an eleven-year old boy from Minnesota went to spend a few days with Peterson. The boy was not Peterson's son. When the boy returned home, his mother noticed marks on the boy's body and took him to a physician.
The physician called the police.
I don't know which story is true, but the second story is currently being reported as much as the 'son and a switch' story.
It wasn’t his own kid. According to the article, after the 11-yo boy visited with Peterson, his mother noticed “injuries” and took him to his pediatrician.

My grandmother used a switch on me. Mom used a hairbrush. My wife used a wooden spoon on our kids while I spanked with my hand...perhaps three times total for all four kids.
I got the message sent via the willow switch & hairbrush.
Our kids learned quickly from the wooden spoon and hand.
The message was, “You are loved, and there are standards we expect of you BECAUSE we love you. This is an emphasis of that fact.”
The US has allowed the loonies to run the asylum.

(CNN) — A 2-year-old boy who was reportedly the son of Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson died Friday of injuries he suffered after allegedly being abused, police said.
Sioux Falls, South Dakota, police said Joseph Robert Patterson, 27, has been charged with aggravated battery of an infant and aggravated assault. If convicted on the charges, both felonies, Patterson could face up to 40 years in prison and an $80,000 fine.

According to law-enforcement sources, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson beat his 4-year-old son with a tree branch as a form of punishment this summer, an incident that allegedly resulted in multiple injuries to the child. According to reports, Peterson has been indicted in Montgomery County, Texas for injury to a child.
The “whooping” – as Peterson put it when interviewed by police – occurred in Spring, Texas, in May. Peterson’s son had pushed another one of Peterson’s children off of a motorbike video game. As punishment, Peterson grabbed a tree branch – which he consistently referred to as a “switch” – removed the leaves and struck the child repeatedly.
The beating allegedly resulted in numerous injuries to the child, including cuts and bruises to the child’s back, buttocks, ankles, legs and scrotum, along with defensive wounds to the child’s hands. Peterson then texted the boy’s mother, saying that one wound in particular would make her “mad at me about his leg. I got kinda good wit the tail end of the switch.”
Peterson also allegedly said via text message to the child’s mother that he “felt bad after the fact when I notice the switch was wrapping around hitting I (sic) thigh” and also acknowledged the injury to the child’s scrotum in a text message, saying, “Got him in nuts once I noticed. But I felt so bad, n I’m all tearing that butt up when needed! I start putting them in timeout. N save the whooping for needed memories!”

Are the media dragging this up to further attack the NFL?
Are you talking about Vikings on the History channel? I love that show too.
Why would an unrelated child visit with a man? Why would the mother allow it?
I was spanked as a child, with a belt, but I never bruised, nor bled from it.
Also, was this another of Peterson's children? How many different women has he had children with? Or why is some woman shipping her child to a football player?
He should have written a check.
