Tillis, Rick Scott and Chris Christie are leaders in pandering to illegal aliens.
Lt. Gov. Forest or even Congressman McHenry would have been better candidates if they want to run an establishment candidate against Hagan.
Because there are more lefties in america than righties? Just a thought.
Durham vs Charlotte.
Charlotte wins
Yes that too. But sometimes the “moderates” simply do not attack. They let the Rats set the tone for campaigns.
Reagan won in both 1980 and 1984 because he set the tone for the campaigns and used it to his advantage.
If you are making the point that our “leaders” on the right are, on the whole, a spineless group you will get no argument from me. The good ones are few and far between and like Obama I wouldn’t follow them into a bunker on a golf course no less a bunker in a firefight.
You are correct and that is the point. There may be more righties than lefties. But lefties play to win and read Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. Righties (or at least “moderate Republicans” play nice amd read Miss Mannners
The NC General Assembly is not a popular institution right now. As Speaker of the NC House, Tillis is a convenient target for all those who oppose the budget cuts that have been made—especially the perceived cuts to education (which in many cases are not cuts at all, but reform measures). I know several teachers who voted for McCain and Romney who are supporting Hagan and have convinced a lot of parents that Tillis is evil personified.
Greg Abbott seems to be running a poor campaign too, but he has dismissed Abortion Wendy as a serious foe.
Considering the current statewide political atmosphere in VA, the state is more like WV was in the 1960s-1990s.
Ed Gillespie’s campaign in VA is a frickin joke. The ads you do see, which are few, are mealy mouthed, vanilla, pathetic ads like you said. If he ran ads attacking Obamacare and attacking the crappy economy, he would be faring better.
Gillespie is running an awful, vanilla me too campaign. Stupid.
