Someone needs to show this to the ESPN Crusaders that let their emotions trump facts and reality.

The violence is largely a black issue in the NFL. Oops! I forgot. No one is supposed to actually admit that.

“show this to the ESPN Crusaders”

They know. They know that Domestic Violence is a weak point in
human society wide open and ready for exploitation. It’s no
doubt it will be used to undermine any and every thing
traditionally American. Especially anything male dominated.
This isn’t about stopping domestic violence, it never is.
It’s about destroying the American culture and replacing it
with a more multicultural limp wristed hererophobic society.
Like California, New York or western Europe.

“As I’ll show, arrest rates among NFL players are quite low compared to national averages for men in their age range “

Yes. They get away with a lot of crimes and are never charged.

Given the entitlement attitude that characterizes most athletes, I’m surprised the numbers aren’t higher.

I remember back to my high school days when there was one set of rules for the jocks (basically none) and another set of rules for the rest of us. When you grow up thinking you’re bulletproof . . .

They don’t care about facts.

I wonder if these stories are good for ESPN’s ratings. Generally, I’ll watch just about any sporting event on ESPN, but when they have their 30-minute-long hand-wringing sessions about Ray Rice or whatever other “moral” issue they get their panties in a bunch about, I change the channel.

I mean, I watch ESPN to get away from all the PC BS in the media, not to be doused in even more of it.

Believable. Natural selection. Most guys don’t make it to the pros if they’re prone to criminality and thus weeded out in their earlier years.

I don’t know what you are saying. ESPN has an unconvicted murderer for its star analyst.

I would like to see a comparison of arrest rates between the NFL and members of Congress.

Nice try. As we’ve famously found out in this case, Rice was charged with a third-degree misdemeanor and “diverted” out of the usual flow toward the big house for what certainly would be a trial and jail for the rest of us.

I dare to suggest that similarly, an offense that would get most of us arrested is often seen as less offensive when the rich NFL player gets a fancy lawyer to explain it away.

The NAGs still won’t be happy until every player on the NFL is “neutered” and put on female hormones....

NFL will become the NEL-ly

The reality is that most professional sports are predominately populated by black athletes. Even though we are supposed to believe that "the only difference is skin color", blacks are on average of greater muscle mass and excel in sports.

Also unacknowledged is the cultural dynamic which in the black community is a higher inclination and acceptance of violence.

We won't discuss this because it is the Third Rail of discourse in this country.

If we compiled statistical data associated with past presidents we would be forced to recognize that there is a high rate of misogyny (Clinton, Kennedy, others), rape (Clinton), bigamy (Jackson), homosexuality (Obama) and adultery (Clinton, Kennedy, and a lot more) and that these people should be pre-persecuted like NFL players.

Never let facts stand in the way of a good story line.

They can always issue an apology retraction on page 31 later.

"The Rate of Domestic Violence Arrests Among NFL Players" Okay, just wait a dog gone minute -- You mean to tell me that a community with amazing leaders as these aspiring young entrepreneurs could possibly produce angry young men that would go on to play in the NFL...

why the mere thought of young men with such progressive clothing ideals could hardly be anything less than pillars of their society and their communities they are simply the cutting edge of progressivism -- Why I would bet these young men in the picture would be appalled by violence against women, illegal drug use, prostitution, and/or gang violence nor would ever consider voting for someone "just because of the color of their skin." No, no...these young men are deep thinking, contemplative, and deliberate in their thoughts, words, and deeds no one like this would ever go on to the NFL and be anything less than genius. It must be the NFL that is wrong.

Silly football fan, the NFL isn't about football anymore. They invited the devil to dinner a few years ago and they will now wear the anvil around their neck for as long as they exist. Pro Football is now, and forever will be, a petri dish of political correctness, diversity sensitivity and fairness.

I had to turn off the pre-game shows over the weekend. I don't want to hear about: 1) Domestic Violence, 2) How horrible the "Washington Football Club's" team name is, 3) The fate of the first openly gay draftee, 4) Breast Cancer Awareness, 5) Concussion lawsuits and settlements, 6) ETC.

I tune in to watch men engage in controlled physical combat to advance physical dominance across 4 quarters of game play over an opponent. The combat is contained in a constant strategic ballet of offense and defense trying to outguess one another for the simple purpose of advance, and preventing the advancement, of a football, on foot, toward a goal without being tackled.

I used to argue that we don't need cheerleaders because they were a distraction. If we can drop the PC BS, I am now fine with cheerleaders running around naked for the duration of the game. Just give me my football back.
