Hello. Hello!. Hello!!! HELLO!!!!!! WHERE THE HELL IS THE NATIONWIDE OUTRAGE THAT THE pRESIDENT IS SENDING 3,000 AMERICAN SOLDIERS TO WEST AFRICA TO FIGHT EBOLA? When do we get to the last straw? I was there a long time ago, but is this newest outrageous outrage not enough to waken a sleeping giant to the destruction of our country that is being perpetrated from the Oval Office? The healthcare system, the VA system, the IRS, Fast and Furious, Race Baiting Justice Department, flooding the nation with illegal aliens who are spreading disease throughout the country, using the military as an "alternative lifestyles" laboratory, bungling, humiliating foreign policy blunder after blunder, trading terrorists for traitors, the highest EVER number of people on foodstamps, record low workforce participation, golfing while Americans are being beheaded, drone strikes on American citizens, shrinking our military, betraying our allies, bowing to dictators, siding with Hamas AND NOW, AND NOW!!! EXPOSING OUR PRECIOUS TROOPS TO DEADLY DISEASE!!! ARE YOU NUTS? OR DO YOU JUST HATE AMERICA?

Given the fact that Doctors, who know Ebola better than our troops, got infected..... How does the military plan to prevent 3000 U.S. personal from catching the virus?
We can quarantine them on a Navy ship set up for a Level 4 bio containment lab. I don’t think this was done at the CDC in Atlanta at the time they had the patients?
I do not think most people understand how dangerous this is to put our troops in harms way. Furthermore, when they return to the States it could metastasize.
I was absolutely aghast and outraged when I first heard this. I didn’t even believe it. He is going to put the military into a disease ridden part of Africa, and then bring them back to America.
I was surprised last night to hear Krauthammer agree that it was a wonderful thing for America to do! Unreal.
The military is not set up for this mission.

If this were truly the mission then why hasn’t air travel been curtailed and why haven’t the 200,000 outstanding visas been cancelled? These are the first steps of protection a country would do in its defense.

This strain of Ebola has a 60% kill rate, that is why it IS spreading not burning out.
They have procedures for Nuke and Chem. Bio has always been largely unaddressed.
My recommendation would be to torch the place.

For their own protection from diseases the Americans will necessarily remain aloof. How will that be interpreted? Will Obama order the troops to mix with the people? (If the troops don't get infected fast enough yes. IMO.)
But you can bet Islamists will do everything they can to splatter the "colonialists" just like the protesters splattered the Ferguson police.

Our founders sacrificed EVERYTHING they had to gain our independence from a far less oppressive government than we have now.
I do not and am not advocating violence in any manner, at this time. But, I do think it is time to scare the hell out of them and remind them who they work for.

There are not many trolls who have been here 8.5 years longer than you.
I don’t know how severe this Ebola outbreak may become and neither do you, but the panic that would be set off by severely curtailing air travel and cancelling 200,000 visas would make things much worse. If 3,000 troops setting up 1,700 hospital beds gives the locals confidence to weather the outbreak in place or gives our government an opportunity to test treatments and vaccines, that sounds like very important work to me.
Obama may be wrong about many things, but even a broken clock is right twice each day.
Keep them out of contact with locals, no crowd/border control role what so ever.
I fear mission creep will ONCE AGAIN get us and our troops into trouble in West Africa, a place were we really have no business going without broad international support.
I don’t know where the worst case people are, usually they are giving the end of the world scenario.
These troops could be Obama’s insanity, or it could mean that the people on the inside have seen information and speculative tables that is worse than we know, and which makes this desperate action, with all the pitfalls that we can imagine, a necessary thing to do.
In other words, what if things are so much worse than we know, that we have to risk this, what if this outbreak really is the big one.
One way we can get clues is to watch what the other advanced nations are doing, if they are also showing signs of panic and desperate involvement to contain it, then that would be evidence that they know something the public doesn’t know, and that perhaps the risks are justified and unavoidable.
