True enough. Undoubtedly St. Patrick would be horrified by the way his feast day is celebrated by some.
With Grand Marshal Dolan, Prince of the Church, proudly leading them down the avenue. Imagine the optics if they behave as they typically do in parades - gross lewdness and disgusting displays in front of the children. How will he try to spin his involvement then?

Sad though, isn’t it? Homosexuality spamming its way into religious holidays and events. Glenn Beck went to a Fourth of July celebration with his kids, and there was some ‘gay’ musician, very famous, who spammed AIDS awaresness or some such thing to the crowd in front of all those kids of patriotic parents. There’s a FREAKING TIME AND PLACE!
Our Founding Fathers never imagined such a civilized populace. Their crowds would have tarred and feathered the guy for trashing their patriotic event — literally. That’s wrong too, but the sacredness of our war dead needs to be honored on the 4th by law, free from leftist spam, and the sacredness of trational religious holidays should be honored as well — only traditional ones.
Low on the amendment priority list, but one day, I want to live to see that come to pass.
