In line with your Battered Wife Syndrome, I have decided this election to vote straight Democrat and Libertarian to punish the GOP because they have treated conservatives so harshly for the last God knows what. Eight years? I'm done. I'm out. I'm leaving the relationship 'cause if I don't leave it, as that other caller said, I have no right to complain about it. I won't just not vote, 'cause that's apathy. I'm gonna vote the other party, and Libertarian wherever there are those candidates.

Four million Republicans who voted in '08 didn't vote in 2012, and had they, Romney would have been elected. I don't care what you think of Romney, he would have been much better than what we've got. Without question. I mean, that's not even up for debate. But you're not gonna show 'em a lesson. They're not gonna get that. That's not what's gonna change their minds.
I don't have time to get into a full explanation of what happens next, but doing that is not how conservatives can gain dominance of the Republican Party, which is what needs to happen here. You're not gonna do that by electing the enemy. (sigh)

Very true. I hope Rush has finally come to his senses. He lost a lot of credibility with me after his “Operation Chaos” stupidity, which involved GOPers trying to mess with Dem heads by voting for one or another of the Dem candidates in primaries and probably resulted in getting Obama chosen as the candidate - and in addition completely distracted GOPers from getting a good candidate of their own.
Voting isn’t a radio stunt or a gesture (”I’ll vote Dem, that’ll show ‘em”) and maybe Rush could use his influence to get people to take it seriously.

Voting democrat is actually doing something worse than not voting. It’s approval of the democrats as being superior to republicans. Perhaps 25% of republican politicians [just guessing] are willing to become democrats themselves if the votes shift.
Actually, Opereration Chaos is long term strategy, an effort to demonstrate and reveal in a big way how perverted the current primary system is when crossover votes prevent decent primaries. And Obama was going to win [the primary] by the time Rush meddled.
Democraps are better at disrupting our primaries than we are at disrupting theirs’. We actually care about some of our primary races, increasingly so. Democraps trust their backroom bosses more.
At the time, obama was coasting to victory - the entire purpose of the exercise was to try and stretch the contest out in the hope that some actual information about obama might come out. Hillary! was dead already before Rush began his operation.

While absolutely right, we should also not forget how blessed we are at still keeping a toehold in the supreme court, and it ‘aint over yet. We are one heartbeat away from having an unelected oligarchy destroy every pretense of this being a republic.

I know of a Tea Partier who managed to get elected onto the head table of the local REC. He has finally come to the conclusion I have that it was a wasted effort. Noble, but wasted.
At this point we can only hope of a protracted resistance like Solidarity against the Soviet Democrat aparatus of corruption until the whole scheme collapses.
This stuff is not just about repealing Obamacare, but the whole progessivist language which pretends to make a competitive people and prosperous economy by motivating me me me minimum wage politics.

I thought we were finished in ‘08, assumed that Obama would spend his politial capital on comprehensive ‘new-democrats’ reform. Thank God he blew that capital, squandered it.
So long as we maintain enough honor in the supreme court, so long as we win a few more key battles for the White House, and if we pick up some seats in the senate, and if we prevent a new voter block to suddenly appear, THEN time is on the side of truth and the constitutional amendment process.

A lot of tea party activists are tired and frustrated [they poured their hearts into the effort], but that is exactly what conservatives need to do. The old establishment GOP have worn them down, and they never let you see’em bleed.

Simply stated.......this coming election on November 4, 2014 is “the” critical path election....maybe in the country’s entire history!!! If, “We The People”....”ALL OF US”, do not turn out or choose not to vote, you enable the Obamabot Democrats to continue the effective destruction of our once great nation!!!
Every single eligible voter should turn out and vote against every single Democrat candidate running for office, thus politically destroying a good portion of the Obamabot, Democrat Party!!! The end result.....POTUS Obama immediately becomes a “Major Lame Duck” POTUS!!! Ya know, Adolf Hitler, since 1933 was the target of about sixty attempts to kill him. The amazing part is that almost 80% of said attacks came from the German High Command....his own appointees!!! After, the intense Hitler, bombing of British cities through 1940-41, Churchill & RAF Bomber Command sent a night raid of 1000 British bombers on May 8, 1942 to destroy the German city of Cologne, with a simple message to Hitler.....”WE ARE COMING”!!! After the devastation of Cologne and the American AAF daylight bombing campaigns....Hitler’s military...said, we either get rid of Hitler...or Germany will be totally destroyed!!! Hint, folks!!!
