"Well they did have all that white privilege and all."

Try reading the article. Nowhere does it say the victims were white, in fact it appears they were not.

The history of the world is people moving from a bad situation into a better one. Like all our ancestors who left bad situations in other places to come to this country. While I have sympathy for people in bad circumstances, it only goes so far.

If you're healthy and have the right attitude, you can improve your situation. No sympathy for people who whine about their lot in life without doing anything about it.

I’m with you except sometimes bad means “WW II bad”. And I’m a student of biblical prophesy. I believe we are on the cusp of the “big one”. Frankly, if we continue improving, within a hundred years we won’t even be human anymore. I figure the key to immortality is but a decade or few off, if they haven’t figured it out already. And that is not a good thing.

This month’s Vanity Fair (has Robert Downey Jr on cover) has an article about Ebola which shows it’s a lack of communication from the government/medical services to the folks in the rural area. Before info about Ebola was fully distributed in the rural areas, where many are illiterate, these strange people, most with white complexions, show up in full protective gear, gather people into tents where no one can communicate with their families, and then cremate the bodies which is against traditions.

As a result, wild rumors started that these white people were performing experiments, harvesting organs and limbs and were killing native people. People stopped going to treatment centers, choosing to hide at home and to lie about how their relatives died.

I think it’s tragic that this lack of communication, in the rush to help people, is compounding the severity of the epidemic.

Tons of them would be part of the Gubmint "FreeStuff" wing of the D party. No jobs needed.

We can agree to disagree!
God bless you and yours.
