New York (AFP) - Celebrities, activists and political leaders are expected to join more than 100,000 people in New York Sunday for what could be the largest climate change protest in history, organizers said. Related Stories

Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio, former US vice president turned advocate Al Gore, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio are due to take part in the "People's Climate March."
The event has been endorsed by more than 1,400 organizations, including environment, faith and justice groups, as well as labor unions. Students have mobilized marchers at more than 300 college campuses.
The protest will wind its way through Midtown Manhattan on a two-mile (3.2-kilometer) route starting at 11:30 am (1530 GMT).

Prediction.......10000 will march and the media will report that 250000+ participated.
And I suppose they’re all going to walk or bicycle to get there. No cars, subways, buses, taxis, trains, limos, planes...
Do these idiots know they are marching to shut down half the power plants in the US, cripple the economy and throw themselves into darkness and cold during the winter? Thats what it will take to meet the CO2 reductions required to have even a minimal impact on climate.
