Speaking to DallasNews.com, Merritt Tierce, a former waitress at a high-end steakhouse in Dallas, Texas, recalled using Rush Limbaugh's very generous tips to fund abortions.
Merritt said twice Limbaugh dined at the restaurant and left her a $2,000 tip each time on "modest-sized" checks. She describes one of the tips paid in twenty $100 bills.
"That was blood money to me," Tierce said, and so she donated "a sizable chunk of it" to the Texas Equal Access abortion fund, of which she was executive director. She explained:
It felt like laundering the money in a good way. Hes such an obvious target for any feminist or sane person. It was really bizarre to me that he gave me $2,000, and hes evil incarnate in some ways.
Tierce has released her first novel, entitled Love Me Back, which is all about her experiences at the Dallas steakhouse. The Limbaugh story is not included.
Continuing her abortion activism, Tierce recently penned an Op-Ed for The New York Times in which she describes having two abortions. The goal is clear in her piece: to combat the great "lie that abortion isnt normal." She writes:
I had an abortion because we were poor and I was depressed and I didnt know who the father was. I had been having an affair. My kids were 2 and 3, and the debilitating morning sickness, which I experienced early in each of my pregnancies, made it difficult to work or care for two toddlers. I got pregnant again soon after, but miscarried. A few years later I had another abortion because the man I was seeing was emotionally abusive. I had no control in that relationship, so I sabotaged my birth control to get some back. The whole situation was a complete abscess. In spite of my awareness of our miserable present and inevitably doomed future, I didnt really want to have an abortion. I wanted the man to love me or at least be forced to publicly acknowledge our relationship existed. But he didnt want to have a baby with me, and I knew that having that baby would have been a terrible thing for my children. And for me.
This is how it really is, abortion: You do things you regret or dont understand and then you make other choices because life keeps going forward. Or you do something out of love and then, through biology or accident, it goes inexplicably wrong, and you do what you can to cope. Or you do whatever you do, however you do it, for whatever reason, because thats your experience.
I looked it up. It was $1,000,000 and Limbaugh’s 4th marriage. Pardon the hyperbole.
Here’s another place I absolutely love and it’s way less than all the other places.
Had one over cooked piece of meat once. I like it rare.

The one where he paid Elton John a million dollars to play?
Leave it to a lib to turn a generous act into death. May God have mercy on her.
I agree. Rush might talk about it tomorrow. My guess he'll say he's never left that kind (big) of tip at any "public" restaurant.
Yes, yes I did. Long day.
...and deal with the result...baby, yes; fetus, maybe; unviable ‘tissue’=yeah, that works!
LOL
Just messing with you.
My dentist muffed up my tooth today and I decided to laugh it off.
Headache and all.
Having “an affair” is like a get out of jail free card to liberals. As if the poor dear was afflicted with a disease .
Great point!
Even sadder...that this particular woman (like many others) chose not to use the brains God gave her to understand the clear fertility signals from her own body and excercise a brief modicum of self-control, but rather chose to run around like a bit*h in heat, subject only to her emotions and hormones...
And here I thought feminism was about empowering women. </sarc off>
To leftists, feminism is all about abortion..I will never ever understand how a woman can murder her unborn child. Its just something I will never understand. If I was pregnant I would never imagine doing such a thing, a baby is a gift from God, from the moment of conception that precious life is a gift from God, how can someone murder this innocent life
Hello, IRS.
Wow. I love doing nice things for people and I don’t worry about who they are.
This poor sick woman is just heaping more coals on her own head.
Rush’s gift did not make her that way. I have been the recipient of many Samaritans’ gifts and it gives me some hope for humanity.
“She looks like she uses the same shampoo that Sandra fluke uses.
Only available at Jiffy Lube”
My thoughts exactly. Has she washed her hair in the past year?
