I have learned that he was one of the first abolitionists.
I’ve tried over million times to call into Rush’s show but could never get through.

This week’s soup: yellow split pea soup with ham.
I should have soaked the peas first, but everything I read said there was no need. I started it on Sunday, and the peas are just now getting tender.
But, it sure is good.
Next time, I will soak the peas, then put them innthe blender tomake a paste. Biting down on a hard pea is like chomping on a popcorn old maid.
Balance is everything in chutney. A little sweet, little sour. Of course, if you don’t like it, you can leave it out. It’s a relaxing dish to make and very easy, too.
Man! put a dash of dry sherry in there and it will POP!
Get a good crust of bread...
Peas & ham. Unbeatable combo.
All that I have had err on the sweet side.
Probably mango (Major Grey) chutney. Yeah, the bottled stuff probably does err on the side of sweet. I beef up the ginger, myself.
I do understand the concept.
