Bill Clinton: U.S. has bought NRA's theory

"I think we have enhanced the risks by changing the environment, basically, because it seems we bought the NRA's theory that we would all be safer if everybody in this audience had a gun that was a concealed weapon," Clinton said. "Then if one of them felt threatened by another, they could stand up right here and stand their ground. And we could watch the whole saga unfold. That is what happens."

Every word uttered by a Clinton is a lie, including “the” and “and”.

Don't forget "is."

Knockout games? And here I thought that was just some urban legend. LOL! Yeah, they probably won’t be victims.

‘The former president, in a conversation with CNN’s Erin Burnett at the Clinton Global Initiative meeting in New York, lumped together the NRA, stand your ground laws,...’

Its called muddy the waters. That way you can speak in generalities and use terms of your own definition and so twist the conversation to your view point.

‘and people surrounding themselves only with those who agree with them as problems that lead to a more violent climate in the United States.’

LOL, did he REALLY say that!!! I cant think of a group more insular than liberals. Its their way or the highway and the facts dont matter. After all look at how they govern. We’re in the later 8 years of that and see hows been going? Theyre very up front about forcing their way w/o debate in secret.

‘”I think we have enhanced the risks by changing the environment, basically, because it seems we bought the NRA’s theory that we would all be safer if everybody in this audience had a gun that was a concealed weapon,” ‘

The facts prove him wrong!

‘Clinton said. “Then if one of them felt threatened by another, they could stand up right here and stand their ground. And we could watch the whole saga unfold. That is what happens.”’

The facts prove him wrong again!

So, lets fill in the missing blanks, what he left unsaid. Clinton is not talking about a society free of guns. He’s talking about one in which the (vast majority) unfavored are restricted from owning or using guns. The govt certainly would be allowed as would a select few. Its this situation the Founding Fathers specifically warned against. Why? They understood first hand that it leads to tyranny. You can see it even now too. Its not uncommon for govt agents to force their will usually by using a gun. This type of govt must rely on a certain amount of crime (Clinton has already said as much in the past) to justify its use of force and restrictions of liberty. The guns for the favored few is so they might protect themselves, the very concept he feels should be withdrawn from everyone else.

...the NRA's theory that we would all be safer...

It's not theory. It is settled fact.

Those who claim otherwise are reality deniers!

1) Clinton’s own words show his often expressed innate hostility to, and utter contempt for, the core principles of the American founding:

``If the personal freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution inhibit the government’s ability to govern the people, we should look to limit those guarantees.’’ -- President Bill Clinton, August 12, 1993

``The purpose of government is to reign in the rights of the people’’ –- Bill Clinton during an interview on MTV in 1993

``We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans…that we forget about reality.’’ -- President Bill Clinton, quoted in USA Today, March 11, 1993, Page 2A, ``NRA change: `Omnipotent to powerful’’’ by Debbie Howlett

“When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans, it was assumed that the Americans who had that freedom would use it responsibly… that they would work for the common good, as well as for the individual welfare… However, now there’s a lot of irresponsibility. And so a lot of people say there’s too much freedom. When personal freedom’s being abused, you have to move to limit it.” – Bill Clinton, April 19, 1995

That's an amazing list Maceman... we'll need it if 'the wife' decided to run based on 'being the wife' of a powerful man....

It’s pretty easy for a former POTUS who is always protected by armed Secret Service agents to look down on “the little people” who also want to be protected.

Oh man! That's worth repeating.

By the way Slick, the NRA “is” the voice of Americans and not depending upon what the meaning of is...is.

Liberals just can't stand it that Americans will not allow these power hungry oligarchs full control over our lives. Burns’em up.

Twenty years ago I worked in a store in a retail development where an increasing rash of armed robberies were occurring.

One night three young punks robbed the place next door.
An armed customer in the parking lot dropped the first one out the door. The other two fled but were eventually caught.

The shooter was not prosecuted. And the rash of armed robberies came to a complete and sudden halt.

Taught me all I needed to know about the NRA “theory”.

There was a lot less indiscriminate shooting in the “Old West” when every adult male packed a six gun and damn well knew how and when to use it.

People should also really take note of how, in the sane interview, Clinton takes some serious shots at freedom of association.

Which is, and has been a BIG goal of the Left.

Never forget that this sexual degenerate tried to over turn the 2 Amendment in his second term in office. Thank God for John Ashcroft who won the case for We The People.
