Don't be so sure. That 'mushy middle' kept Dennis Moore in the House for 10 years and put Kathleen Sebelius in the governor's mansion. They've shown in the past that they're willing to vote for the Dem, and they aren't too thrilled with Roberts right now. And while Roberts isn't losing the solid conservative vote to Orman, he may well lose it to apathy and an unwillingness to go out and vote for anyone.

Agree on Roberts’ weak performance as a candidate. The Moore and Sebelius days are what Orman and the outed liberal Republicans are trying to bring back. But, these people do not like Obama and if Orman thought that they would vote for him like they did for Moore and Sebelius, he would be running as the Democrat he is.
