Gov. Chris Christie plans to visit Wisconsin next week to campaign with Gov. Scott Walker — one of his likely rivals for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination.

Mr. Walker is locked in a tough re-election battle with Democrat Mary Burke.

On Monday, Mr. Christie, chairman of the Republican Governors Association, plans to tour a manufacturing firm and GOP field office in Hudson with Mr. Walker before traveling to Ohio to attend an early vote rally with Gov. John Kasich, another possible White House contender, in Independence. He also plans to appear at local GOP dinner in Akron.

The latest Real Clear Politics average of polls shows Mr. Walker has a slight edge over Ms. Burke in the gubernatorial race.

Christie trying to put some lipstick on his RINO body by associating with Walker?

THIS.... He also plans to appear at local GOP dinner in Akron.

This is all I need to know. I suspect Christie has just invited himself to a free meal. But for now - I don’t believe there is a true connection between Walker and Krispy.

Why because Walker is a good governor who has accomplished things (like balancing his state budget) and Chris Chrusty is a big fat phoney failure and they want to contrast the two?????

I suppose Revel prefers Mary Burke and Michelle Obama who are campaigning together in Milwaukee.

Walker is trying to get the squishy moderate vote.

Try winning an election with only conservatives voting for you. Walker’s job is to convince the “squishy moderate vote” that his being in office is better for them than left winger Mary Burke’s being in office. Those are the choices those voters confront on election day.

Walker is trying to get the squishy moderate vote.

Hope it works and that conservatives don't over-react to Christy barging in.

Is there a chance that Walker is too much of a Chamber of Commerce type guy? I can't imagine that a true constitutional conservative who gets it would let Christie campaign for him.

Cross Walker off my list.

Ew! I suppose Walker has to be the gracious host, but it would sure be tempting to tell him to seal the borders against that RINO!
