Federal civil rights investigators want the Ferguson police chief to ban his officers from wearing bracelets supporting a white colleague who shot and killed an unarmed, black 18-year-old.
In a letter released Friday, the U.S. Justice Department asks Police Chief Tom Jackson to "confirm our understanding" that officers in the suburban St. Louis County department won't wear "I am Darren Wilson" bracelets while on duty.

Time for the Feds to lighten up and man up. Holder is on his way out. He’s no longer a threat to them.
You’d think the chief would have enough sense to do this without being told by the feds. On the job, the cops are supposed to strive to look neutral, fake it if you have to.
But it was okay for Congresspersons to wear hoodies in honor of Saint Trayvon, wasn’t it?

In a rational world I would agree with you, but it is a little different when you watch the Federal Government, and a bunch of animals take the side of a criminal trying to lynch a coworker, and friend.
Ban bracelets? Oh come on, go for the ultimate control, just round up and arrest everyone who is warring that bracelet. And then brake them until they bleed.
How about a “GFY USDOJ” bracelet?
I guess we’ll have to see if the chief does the right and courageous thing and tell them to F off.
