So, if you plan on firing anyone, make sure somebody has a gun. Just in case.
I go back to where I used to work quite a bit on part-time work (after being laid/off - fired years ago). Over the years they have laid off MANY workers when things get slow. Then hire new guys when things get good. (Rinse and repeat).
I always wonder if some guy off his rocker will come through the door.
Of course that goes for anyplace that I may go - who knows their history. (Oh, and I always make sure “someone” is armed.)
I worked for a Defense Company in the 80’s and when they would fire someone they would escort them out immediately after allowing them to get there personal belongings. At the time I thought it was kind of rough where the people weren’t able to say goodbye to friends — but there is a good reason to do that.
