This V-Mail was probably written at Hollandia in New Guinea, where the 32nd Division moved sometime after September 15 to prepare for the invasion of Leyte in the Philippines. General MacArthur now has his headquarters at Hollandia. It looks like Homer's father is going on furlough to Australia. I can't figure out what got censored at the end of the letter.
