I have a permit but don’t actually carry — small town in PNW - just doesn’t seem to be the need (hope those aren’t famous last words!). Of the incidents that do occur here most are late at night and I’m in my fortress then.
You need to carry every day ... make it normal... practice often so you don’t have to think / remember ... you want to be comfortable, automatic, accurate and confident.
Those crucial split seconds gained may well save your life or someone else’s ... don’t forget the Lawyer on Retainer and Speed Dial.
