Some marketing genius at Microsoft thinks they’re falling behind because their numbers are lower than Apple, I’ll bet. “See? We’ve got a 10 too!”
To: Monty22002
Well, with the leak that Windows 9 would be a free upgrade for Windows 8 users, this is understandable.

I bet Windows 9 will still turn up on many future resumes...LOL. Years ago I was on the interview team for a prospective new hire. He professed to have several years experience in a version of CICS that did not exist.

At at event in San Francisco, Microsoft previews the next iteration of its desktop operating system with a surprise naming leap that leaves out 9 and goes straight to Windows 10. LOL! Did they announce a release date / window for this leap?

Likewise as requirements on job postings.

Late 2015, which is later than was expected. I was hoping to get whatever’s next on my next laptop.

Hmmm
Is it just me ... but my experience is that the odd number versions of windows were OK ... like 5 .. 7
But the even numbers were a dud like 6 (Vista) and 8, which I haven’t bought.
Hope this is not a harbinger that 10 will be a dud.
Just saying ...
