LOL. This absolutely explains why we heard that Windows 9 would be a free upgrade for Windows 8 users.

The odd numbered Windows OS are always better than the even numbered ones, right? So why skip 9?

Big biggest weakness that I see with windows OS’s is that they aren’t backwards compatible. You must invest in an entire new computer or device with every inception of OS.
Yes, you might need a new device to take advantage of all of the features, but a good OS should also improve your older device. This is something that Linux has success with, and is in competition with windows.

Just bring back DOS and forget about it MS.

Skipped 9 and went straight to 10.
Why not 11?

Went to bed a 2 with 10. Woke up at 10 with a 2................When the movie "10" was popular, Pat McCormick was a guest on "The Tonight Show".
Carson asked if he had ever had a 10?
He answered, "No......but I had 5 twos once."

OH NOES!
It’s always the odd numbered Windows that work.
Sheesh!

I interviewed a guy once who said he was proficient with MVS on the MacroVAX.
I told him we couldn’t use him because we were sticking to VMS instead of upgrading.
