Mosquito transmission seems possible, but like yellow fever, malaria, etc. we eradicate them rather easily each time they show up in this country. We used to have endemic malaria nearly everywhere in North America. All gone now and will stay that way with some vigilence.

We live in a semi rural area NO one sprays for the pest. Both hubby and I have been bitten by some sort of flying insect you don’t hear or see, and ended up on Predisone for the infections.

Then you have flea carrying critters, big cities are rat infested. Despite a Tax on your utility bill to pay for their eradication, they give you a few packets of rat bait. No real effort made to eliminate the vermin. Roaches too.
