Corbett asks third official to resign over porn e-mails

HARRISBURG - Gov. Corbett on Friday sought the resignation of a third state official - his appointee to the state Parole Board - amid disclosures that the man had participated in the exchange of pornography over state computers.

But Randy Feathers said he would not step down from the $116,000-a-year job.

In an interview, Feathers said he sent a letter to Corbett explaining his stance and a second to Attorney General Kathleen Kane asking for an independent forensic expert to review the sexually explicit messages that she says he received or forwarded.

Feathers asserted that Kane was motivated by politics when she identified him and seven other former employees of her office as having exchanged pornography over state accounts between 2008 and 2012 - and then shared some of those e-mails with reporters.

With Corbett already down by double digits, this certainly inhibit any attempt at a comeback. However, Corbett has not governed as a conservative.

I don’t know where these government employees find the time to screw around with pornography. I don’t think this position needs to be refilled.

These guys apparently do not have enough work to keep them busy. I suggest Corbett simply eliminate their positions and then turn over the porn to the state police to see if the possession of any of it is criminal.

"Feathers said he sent a letter to Corbett explaining his stance...

You know you're in trouble when you have to start explaining your stance.

Apparently, the State Senate by a two-thirds vote, has to remove him absent a resignation. It’s ridiculous.

Feathers asserted that Kane was motivated by politics when she identified him... I believe Feathers LOOOONG before Kaine. She is a shill for Holder and Obama. She dropped charges on three black Philly politicians (after taking the cases away from the Feds) because the blacks were specifically targeted for investigation, which her own investigators said WAS NOT TRUE. Even the black Fed AG was livid about this. She is a liar, shill, and has ambitions as a state Supreme Court judge.

Kane also refused to defend PA’s gay marriage ban. She's just like Holder who picks and chooses which laws to uphold.

Corbett isn’t the problem here, it’s the dishonest political hack of an Attorney General Kathleen Kane. She’s an Eric Holder wannabe if there ever was one.

After this election though, Toomey will be the only republican statewide officeholder.

And Corbett has a lot to blame for his own troubles especially being down 20+ points. Conservatives are still fuming over his boondoggle of a transportation bill that raised the gas tax.
