Bingo. Well stated, and if Roberts wants to represent the great state of Kansas, he ought to live here.

I don't think any of us are happy about that but it pales in comparison of letting this conservative Senate seat be grabbed up by the liberals, for Harry Reid and 0bama's use.

FWIW, after reading an article from the KC Star the other day, it is pretty common for DC politicians to have residency in their states but live close to DC. They shouldn't, and I'd rather they live here, but they did point out it is pretty common. It's not the most pressing issue in this race though. Don't let the leftist agitators convince you otherwise.

WTF does Rove have to do with this??
It's the holier-than-thou crowd. They fancy themselves martyrs. We have Obama because of them and then they have the audacity to claim some bullshit end-time prophecy because of ISIS and Ebola and socialized medicine.

All that's f'd up in the world is because right wing fanatics have put people like Obama in power. Come November, the Rats will still have the Senate and these self-righteous assholes can go back to complaining about the world.

It’ll take the recalcitrant of KS a generation to figure out that Orman is liberal, but I don’t think they will mind at all.

So what does that say about Roberts?

the other poll is using the 2012 Presidential turnout model … Burke is up 1...

Why in the world, would you try to compare an off-year election with Obama’s database driven, no holds barred presidential year? With Obama’s ratings in the toilet? 2010 is a more valid model obviously.

The operation was a success, but the patient died.

RIP, America! Glad I got to serve you before the parasites took you down.

The Dems did such a great Job from 2006-2010 controlling both branches. If you are a Republican then get out and work to get people to the polls. If you are a Democrat Party troll just go back to DU!

I think Tillis could still win because voters are so misinformed. There are a lot of people who will end up voting Republican and not know that Tillis is a big RINO as bad as Hagan and McCain.

In the Kansas race, I think a lot of hardline Democrats and RINOs have made up their mind in the polls. A lot of the undecided will break for Roberts. The people who care the most about the ballot issue are the RINOs who lost primaries and the Democrats. Even wth all the publicity Kobach only has 46% disapproval in handling Taylor. I don’t even know if a real poll has Kobach’s opponent at 46%.

“I can’t believe this is going to happen again”

It’s going to happen again.

Obama and Reid will be laughing and slapping each other on the backs come midnight on the 1st Tuesday of Nov.

And the GOPe will blame Conservatives for their complete disaster.

The “media” buildup for the past 6+ months of a Repub win in the Senate has all been a big pile of BS, so that when the Dems old the Senate, Obama and Reid will be hailed as the “Come back kids!!!!!!”.

“Senator Roberts was severely damaged during the primary by his tea party opponent.”

I don’t think you can blame this one squarely on his Tea Party opponent. There were Tea Party challenges in MS, SC, TN and KY, yet none of those (except maybe KY) are in trouble. And, the primary in KS was not particularly nasty — nothing close to MS. No I think Roberts did it to himself by being so out of touch he barely ever set foot in the state.

If Roberts is a real conservative, then he would have term-limited himself. 33 years in Wash DC is way too long for anyone.

I agree with you ........ there is some utopian thinking going on (especially around FR) and I would rather those who want a “real conservative” go with “the politicians you got” rather than the one “you wish you had” (to paraphrase Rumsfeld)

Especially if it means Obama keeping the Senate

I vote every election. I will again waste a vote this time around for the U.S. Senate race in Illinois. The stunningly feckless Illinois GOP again managed to put up a candidate who was absolutely no chance of winning. Thus, my vote for Oberweis against Dickbrain “Turban” Durbin will be a throwaway, because Oberweis is a terrible candidate and has ZERO chance of defeating the iunsufferable Durbin.

At least you are making an effort. Those that don’t even try are the reason we lose so much.

The last time I was in Kansas was almost exactly 20 years ago. It is the only place up to that time I had ever heard of someone being robbed at gunpoint by a uniformed police officer. That guy who got robbed thus was me. And I had to pay the bogus speeding ticket he wrote me, too. I repeat- THERE IS NOTHING GOOD WILL COME OUT OF KANSAS.
