DUNKIN' DONUTS CEO: AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS WILL 'STIMULATE THE ECONOMY'
Breitbart ^

Posted on 10/06/2014 6:16:07 AM PDT by bryan999

On Monday, Dunkin' Brands CEO Nigel Travis said all of the country's illegal immigrants should be legalized.

In an interview on Fox Business, Travis said that comprehensive amnesty legislation "would bring about 11 million more people into the economy." He claimed it "would be a stimulus" because "there's a lot of people who want to work but can't work legally."

Travis also stated that it was "totally appropriate" that there is "a lot of pressure" to make sure "people who work are legal."

"So let's legalize those people," he concluded. "And I think it will stimulate the economy because they'll have the opportunity to earn great wages."

Another good reason to eliminate DD as a stop on the way to work.

Why does everyone think that the CEO support of this is bizarre? They want to hire illegals because they can have them at slave wages, fire them when they feel the need to cut back and there is always a pool available when they need more. They’ll hire an illegal ahead of any citizen regardless of experience.

Who the hell do they think will be left working to buy their crappy donuts? The number of working citizens is steadily declining. Like I want a donut made by an illegal who doesn’t where the gloves, picks his nose and ass and then digs them into the food anyway.

The ‘immigrants’ have done so well in the UK...............
Agree, it's now a cesspool, but different type of "immigrant" with different goals.
The Muslims have infiltrated Merry Old England, in an attempt to (eventually) overthrow the gubmint.
Our southern border illegals come here because ... 1) they're cowards - won't fight to fix their own countries' problems ... 2) become members of the Takers of Society.
Free, freeee, freeeeeeeeee.

This is the _secret_ reason our USG will provide amensty. USA does not produce enough children to continue our civilization. This is a fact. The mathematics of this show the problem cannot even be corrected when the birth rate get to the levels USA is nearly at.

I do not support illegal immigration at all, but USA loves things and animals more than children. We are reaping a deep cultural brokeness. I large number of our _missing_ citizens are dead/aborted children.

Right - by applying for welfare. Didn’t Pelosi say that welfare recipients would spend that money thereby stimulating the economy? Thing is, when there’s nobody left to tax to pay for it ...

What exactly would happen if millions if unemployed Americans decided to go and "stimulate" the economy of Mexico?

They will starve, and it won't affect the Mexican economy at all.

The Mexicans are here for the subsidies. The Mexican government loves it because they send much of the money home, to their families in Mexico, which does stimulate the economy (the MEXICAN economy).

The current scenario is characterized by masses of people forcing their way into a neighboring country to take their stuff - in other words, an invasion.

We can close the borders or (and this is the solution that I like better)...

Cut all welfare/subsidies/free medical care to all people all the time. No safety nets. No programs. Nothing one can't afford to pay for in cash or kind. Tanstaafl!

Then we could have the open borders the liberals desire, subject to the condition that we allow none who would wage war on the US.

It will certainly stimulate his bottom line if he can pay sweatshop wages and get IRS points for supporting the Obola at the same time.

..and for a fortunate few:

Lawrence Shipley Jr. worked in the business all of his life, continuing his fathers vision and making Shipley Do-Nuts the successful business it is today. He expanded the company to more than 190 stores around the nation in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas.

America should no longer “Run on DD” - Donut Connection and other places will get my business.

My guess is that most illegals do not want to be legalized - because they will have to pay taxes in their “legit” paychecks. These libs are “dreaming” of all the influx in tax revenues, if they legalize the illegals. I love how ‘ol Nigel quoted the 11 million that is part of the party line.

This explains his stance. Travis is a big donor to Obama.

Among the donors to Obama’s campaign last month were actor Robert De Niro; Nigel Travis, chief executive officer of Canton, Massachusetts-based Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. (DNKN); and Laura D’Andrea Tyson, a professor at the University of California at Berkley, a member of Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, and a former economic adviser to President Bill Clinton.

Coffee is the easiest thing I can think of to make at home. I only buy coffee if I am on the road and then I will buy coffee at Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme or wherever I can get a caffeine fix with ONE EXCEPTION, I WILL NOT SET FOOT IN A STARBUCKS. This man is my spokesperson on the subject of Starbucks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4Mjnzqi5gs

Is it my imagination or do the guys flanking Nigel look a little, I don't know, Arabesque?

I'm assuming Nigel is the guy in the middle.

HOW does a businessman come to the conclusion that MORE freeloaders means MORE production in this country?????

He must have eaten a LOT of paint chips as a kid AND grew up near the power lines.

Anecdotal evidence is that many people working in fast food, places such as 711, gas stations, hotel maids, cleaning workers in office buildings, among others, were not born in this country.

I can’t speak to anyone’s immigration status. Just observing that they weren’t born here. American born people, for whatever reason, aren’t doing these sorts of “entry level” jobs anymore.

We could discuss why this is. Reports are that millions have dropped out of the labor force, at a time when millions from overseas are working in this country. Is there a connection?

Yeah, well, grabbin’ onto a live 120v wire will stimulate things, too, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

No more Dunkin for me then....

Of course he wants millions more low-skilled workers in his hiring pool. Companies like his absolutely depend on being able to have a constant stream of low-IQ people willing to work for slave wages.

Every Dunkin Donuts in my area of NYC are owned by either Indians (from India) or people from Bangla Desh.
Forget about any Hispanics, legal or illegal working in them, they only hire relatives or people from their former countries.
btw:I don't see anything really wrong with that.
