Yes I’m a veteran, an Army veteran under Nixon and a National Guard Special Operations unit vet under Reagan. and I have trained with a number of foreign Special Operations troops, I know the type.

I also know that while this guy is an ex soldier who was in for years and served as a Ranger, that he was discharged as a PFC, with a medical.

I also know something about how actual Special Operations troopers captured in combat have handled captivity, and not many karated their way out of it.

So far everyone here is the ultimate internet hero, telling us how they would handle being the prisoners of the Islamic enemy, and that they would not be trying to live.

I had been feeling sorry for this guy, because I viewed him as a white Christian U. S. Citizen male trying to help people in a different land have a better future, who got caught and was soon to be punished for it.

Now I find out he was buying into the culture that bred the very people who are about to severe his head from his body.

So in all reality, his head was severed a long time before this.

The relevant part was that he served for years, and left service as a PFC (a Private), with a medical.

He was not a private the entire time he served, and for the civilians on the thread, I will tell them that PFC is what a good soldier attains in basic training.

That headline you read at the Daily Mail seems to be a misprint if you read the article itself.

I have also not yet found that he was a Christian or any other religion before becoming Muslim.

Rangers are not all religious, or even Christian.

I raised 3 healthy, happy, now grown children. Renounce Jesus by converting to Islam and you are going to hell I don’t care whose child you are. If you think not telling your kids that is compassion guess again. Eternity in hell is a long time.
