A Kurdish woman fighting Islamic State militants carried out a suicide bomb attack to slow their advance on a besieged Syrian town, it was claimed today. Deilar Kanj Khamis, known by the nom de guerre Arin Mirkan, blew herself up at an IS position east of the border town, killing ten jihadists.

She was only 19. Brave woman. Further into the article the Kurdish spokesmen say ground support are needed, heavy weapons and ammunition. Air strikes not doing enough good.

This Kurdish woman had true love for her children, giving herself selflessly for their sake. An islamist woman would sacrifice her children before herself!

Desperate, helpless, hopeless people are the ones that invariably do themselves in. But this is a whole other sort of phenomenon. The poor woman,was desperate in a whole other way. Not about life specifically, not about the typical average life she would otherwise have had but a life she realized would be too horrific for herself certainly, either getting killed or worse, ending up as some sub-human pleasure device, having to indulge in whatever depraved acts her master/husband would demand of her for the rest of her life. She killed herself because she knew all these things.

But most woefully emphatic was the thought only a mother could fathom, the fate of her own two children, what would become of them, pushed her to the edge know all too well the fate she and her children faced, the worst imaginable, against a force so intimidatingly horrific, so barbaric, savage, after thoughtful consideration and considering all the alternatives came to the conclusion that in our hearts we know she did the incredibly brave, courageous thing, we all ourselves might very well find to be the only way out. God Bless her, her children , family.
