Lack of ocean heat puzzles Nasa hunt for warming 'hiatus'

Scientists have noticed that while greenhouse gases have continued to mount in the first part of the 21st century, global average surface air temperatures have stopped rising along with them, said Nasa. Some studies have suggested that heat is being absorbed temporarily by the deep seas, and that this so-called global warming hiatus is a temporary trend. But the latest data from satellite and direct ocean temperature measurements from 2005 to 2013 "found the ocean abyss below 1,995 metres has not warmed measurably", Nasa said in a statement.

Oops.

Better take a break and come up with a new lie.

Of course it hasn't. How could it.

This is what happens when researchers start with a conclusion then look for evidence to support it. Some might say you should examine the evidence then form your conclusion based upon it, but that’s just crazy.

When the climate doesn’t match the models, the climate must be wrong.

How could it.

how could it NOT?

I mean, if the earth's core is several million degrees, dontcha think the ocean would get hot from the bottom up ?

Maybe the scientists need to look at the activity of that thermonuclear fireball about 93 million miles away called the Sun instead?

Has anyone else noticed that they always start with the assumption that higher CO2 levels cause warming, and look for any and every explanation for why temperatures are not going up along with CO2 except to consider the possibility that higher CO2 levels DONT cause warming!

Their ‘models’ never predicted a warming ‘hiatus’. They can't account for the lack of warming and are searching everywhere for an explanation - even at the bottom of the ocean. But, if they need to go to such lengths, does that not imply that there was something significant that was lacking in their model in the first place?

Or the lack thereof. Seems pretty clear that we're exiting the Modern Maximum.

You obviously just don't understand how research grant funding works...

If you look at the data extracted from the Vostok ice core expedition, which currently covers some 420,000 years, it clearly shows rises in C02 concentration follows rises in temperature, not the other way around. If you want to see a Warmer's head explode enlighten them to this fact. For my money I'll take 420,000 years of actual climate observation as a guide over any model developed by any "climatologist".

NASA has already determined that even though past changes in the earth’s climate have been primarily the result of solar activity, THIS time around, the sun has nothing to do with changes in the climate on earth - THIS time around, it’s ALL caused by man:

Methinks they are realizing this whole carbon-based control of free will is taking too long, allowing the masses to see it for the scam it is, forcing them to come up with more convoluted pseudo-logic and increased threats for those who express doubt. These last several elections have shown them it would have been easier and faster to just go for a Fascist takeover and then those who dissented could be hustled into black vans and disposed of until out of sight until the time when state control is strong enough to allow on-the-spot executions.

You have hit the nail on the head. REAL scientists do not draw conclusions at the beginning of their research; they make hypotheses and test them. And they are always ready to revise or abandon a hypothesis if testing points them in a different direction.

No matter where they work, or how many degrees they have, these people are NOT scientists - they are greedy hucksters and/or politicians.
