(Reuters) - Sex could keep the Ebola epidemic alive even after the World Health Organization (WHO) declares an area free of the disease, one of the discoverers of the deadly virus said on Tuesday.
The WHO is hoping to announce later this week that Nigeria and Senegal are free of Ebola after 42 days with no infections -- the standard period for declaring an outbreak over, twice the maximum 21-day incubation period of the virus.
However, it appears the disease can last much longer in semen.
"In a convalescent male, the virus can persist in semen for at least 70 days; one study suggests persistence for more than 90 days," the WHO said in an information note on Monday.

That’s soooo last millennium.
Large swaths of the 3 most affected countries have many many illiterate people. Who, when they ‘recover’ from ebola, are given ‘health certificates’ that state they are recovered.
Imagine being told you’re recovered, given a certificate that states that and then also told to refrain from sex because you could spread it.
Given the presence of planned barrenhood type organizations in those countries for decades, the last ‘incongruent’ piece of information fits right in with the whole population reduction message they’ve been getting all along. And is promptly ignored as such.
When I read the article about the guy in Texas that everybody thinks got Ebola here I noticed he got here from Liberia and two weeks later he had Ebola.
Ebola has an incubation period of 21 days. That means he had a week in Liberia where he got it.
Bet he had sex in Liberia. Doesn’t want wifey to know.
A condom is only 80% effective.

Hmmmm. I had doubts about the accuracy of this story, so I looked this up...

But this being the case - if a cured Ebola patient has Ebola tainted sperm in his system, then guess what?
He aint cured.
