Apparently, the authors of this claptrap didn't. To them, it appears that creating the COBOL compiler is the equivalent of "creating the modern digital age."

Like I said, I'm just tired of midgets standing on the shoulders of giants and admiring the view. I admire Grace Hopper. I truly do. But to claim that she -- or any other woman or any other GROUP of women -- "created" anything but a compiler is hyperbolic, PC, revisionist rubbish.

Everyone knows that credit for creating the modern digital age belongs to Al Gore.
