From what I understand the family was allowed the use of a home in a gated community, so this health center perhaps was very near by for her.

No.

Duncan's relatives are ensconced in a house in Dallas. The medical facility in Frisco is over 30 miles away. Not close by, by any means.

We need a graphic of Clay Jenkins in a Grim Reaper outfit.

Dude looks like death warmed over on a good day.

Laz, since you died of Ebola already, I’d like to put your ping list up for auction for the Freepathon.

You know, make some good come out of a bad event.......

Yeah. That’s my impression. My baby brother is a Fireman/EMT/Paramedic in a wealthy suburb around these parts. He texted and said not to panic. Everything being done is just precaution.

Here’s hoping it turns out to be something other than Ebola!

Hopefully the guy just hit a bad roach coach on taco Tuesday and its food poisoning.

Perhaps this is just a scare and nothing more. I wonder if he had a fever.

It’s a good thing our border is secure. Heaven forbid that people fleeing an ebola outbreak could just walk across the border.

During the avian flu scare a few years ago, the Texas National Guard was very concerned about masses of refugees entering Texas in the event of pandemic influenza. Probably nothing much will come of any of this, but I bet some late nights are being put in at Camp Mabry in Austin,

eh not so sure...A trained professional given the option would have talked to his superiors first.

I highly doubt and unannounced visit to a quick care facility would have been their conclusion.

There is more to the story than an upset stomach.

And presumably anyone who thinks they are infected will seek out medical attention and be quarantined.

What really scares the hell out of me is what happens if ISIS or whoever sets out on a deliberate bio warfare campaign. Deliberately moving through the population.

Talk about a living hell, wondering if you’d infected your loved ones because nobody informed you of a risk. Some of these people are going to lose it and turn on somebody in a bad way, especially if they were exposed due to official cluelessness.

“Needs more cowbell!”

I literally just spat chocolate milk all over my Kindle.

THAT WAS AWESOME!

I needed that. Thank you.

“...from that you conclude “its out of control”?”

First:
The disease is spreading at perfectly geometric rates in several African countries. These outbreaks are far past containment, and will only be controlled if there is a “cure”, or if the disease runs out of uninfected population.

Second:
People are freely moving from these infected countries to locations around the world. Infected people. They are not being checked for the virus. They are being asked if they feel okay, and sent HERE.

Third:
“Abundance of caution”. This instance is costing millions of dollars. It is not an “abundance of caution”, they are reacting with these resources because they are afraid.

Yes, steve86, its out of control. Obviously. To some.

Hopefully, this deputy is having stomach trouble because he had a nervous reaction to Duncan's death and that he doesn't really have Ebola.

You would think the family would have it first, but this could be one very unlucky deputy. I heard the deputies were told to help clean up the apartment. If he was ordered to clean up the apartment without the proper safety equipment this would make more sense. It's possible Duncan started staying away from the family and lived in one room when he was most contagious and this deputy was put in jeopardy when he helped to clean up. The CDC is a joke. Where were the procedures?

Supposedly, the custodian at the school was fired, because he bought hazmat equipment for his employees who cleaned the schools where the kids went before they were put in quarantine.

Pulling into downtown Dallas now. Were stuck in heavy traffic for a couple minutes.

My boys and I just finished a job near downtown Dallas a couple of hours ago. We're back outside the city now.
