He sustained a training injury about six years ago. The CBS 11 local reporter J.D. Miles remembers doing the story on him, but I can’t find a reference to the story. Ping me if ya find it. His name is Michael Monnig. (Not Monning)

His children may have been exposed. But if it is true that he entered Duncans room without any PPE he was taking a huge risk. No matter what you hear elsewhere, in it's final stages when one is vomiting, diarrhea, bleeding from open openings, this virus is extremely contagious.

I'll bet it's contagious right before symptoms break out too... symptoms are usually a sign the body's mounting a defense against a virus.

Remember a few days ago when people were making fun of parents pulling their kids from school? Saying they were panicking? Maybe 'prudent' would be the better term.

Very true-everyone reacts differently to it as with any illness/virus—also his eyes could have been bloodshot due to petechial hemorrhage from vomiting violently, but as you said: we just don’t know.

And the fact that there is no “magic” cure for Ebola is what makes it so scary—it isn’t a guarantee of survival just because someone gets ZMapp and someone doesn’t...for people to make this racial is absolutely sickening and I have been reading comments here and there on the web all day saying Duncan died because he was black-and this after all of the FREE care he received where people put them self at risk—and we all know that’s the ONLY reason Jesse is around—I see a candlelight vigil in the future...

I want to say that he injured or separated his shoulder after swinging a baton or being hit with one. Something like that.

No, County Judge is a title left over from the reconstruction days. It's a completely different office than that of a court room judge. Purely administrative function, over the county bureaucracy.

Depends on the county. The "County Judge" is the chief executive officer of the county, a full voting member of the Commissioners Court, which is legislative body for the county, and the presiding judge of the Constitutional County Court. In very large counties (1 Million plus population I think) the County Judge may elect to surrender their judicial duties. If they do that they are not bound the Judicial Code of Conduct, and are as free to run their mouths about politics as any other non-judge politician.

In very large counties there are numerous County Courts at Law, and often Probate Courts too, all of which perform the duties of the Constitutional County Court, and there is no real need for the County Judge to perform judicial duties. But there are many, probably in excess of 100, counties with no County Court at Law, and the County Judge is the judicial officer who tries Class A & B Misdemeanors (up to 1 year in jail), and hears probate cases.

In those counties the County Judge not only sentences defendants to jail, he/she votes to set the county tax rate, and faces the heat for that. Making the judge take the political heat for the taxes required to staff and operate the jail tends to discourage "lock 'em up and throw away the key" thinking.

Why did this judge go to see that man? What in God’s name was the need for that? Then His Honor Stupido runs off directly to a public event?

I don’t grasp how that could result in his being fired, then reinstated after media exposure. There would have to be some sort of irregularity, right?

Several things could be causing his symptoms..appendix, gallstones etc.
Hopefully, he’s just being overly cautious. I know I would be! If I went into that apt. & later got any type of symptoms, I’d be freaking out. His poor family must be too..

I know, right? I’m confused also. J.D. Miles rolled footage from his story on the injury and I see snippets on Google searches from what appear to be court documents but I still can’t find the story.

I read today the virus CAN survive as long as it is WET and can be maintained in a ROOM TEMP atmosphere.
