Youngor Jallah has thus far been the only highly public figure to act sanely and responsibly down there. If they’re struggling during their very responsible and admirable self-imposed quarantine, they are deserving of help. Good on Breitbart Texas for providing it.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

What is our hope that pressure will be brought to bear to force obama to stop issuing Visas to West African Citizens? None other than Democrat politicians running for office for this November’s elections - that’s what

... obama’s policies are a death knell for Democrats running for the Senate - 33 of them..

I cannot imagine that this Ebola (Obola) situation will not infuriate the American public - causing a backlash again Democrats who have supported obama’s policies without question...

You reap what you sow!!!

STOP ISSUANCE OF VISAS TO WEST AFRICANS
Self Opinion | 10/7/2014 | Self

Posted on 10/7/2014, 6:19:56 PM by ICCtheWay

BLOCK VISAS BEING GRANTED TO PEOPLE IN WEST AFRICAN NATIONS.

WE DON’T WANT TO EVEN BE EXPOSED TO THE EBOLA VIRUS...

It occurs to be from reading various articles and posts on Freerepublic.com that some people including political ‘leaders’ think it is okay to have Government policies that have caused American citizens to be exposed to Ebola by a foreign national who was allow to enter the U.S. coming from a known Ebola Hot Spot - because they claim that an Ebola outbreak would not occur and/or if it did it could easily be contained. I find this attitude totally empty headed... : Foreign nationals from many places are denied a visa to visit America - denied entry. Yet some how those from Ebola epidemic Hot Spot Countries are not to be told NO! Cannot be told - No you cannot visit your family. It happens everyday to people who do not come from West African Countries.

Americans don’t want to even be exposed to Ebola and have even a small chance of catching the disease. Because even the exposure is Not Necessary. Liberians and other West Africans do not have a right to demand they be allowed entry into the USA. And the U.S. Government has no obligation to allow them. Americans want the Ebola virus kept away from America - because there is no reason to have to be exposed to it at all - regardless if it can be controlled or contained. It doesn’t matter whether some think an Ebola outbreak cannot happen or if it did it can be controlled. We don’t want it inside our country. And if people in other countries have their feelings hurt because they can’t visit America -— well too damned bad. The health and welfare of American people comes before the wants and desires of other nationalities who want to visit.

People from West African Nations can be told that visiting America in the near future will require a complete certified medical examination, they can be told that they may have to opt for a 35 day quarantine in isolation if they really want to pursue coming to America. They can be told NO!

I have an American friend here in Thailand, he and his Thai wife have a Thai woman friend who applied to the American Embassy in Bangkok to get a Visa to go to America to present her PhD Dissertation. She was denied - only a few weeks ago... She has not been exposed to a deadly disease. Ebola nor anything like is not endemic to Thailand. She likely was denied because bureaucrats in our State Department firmly believe that Thai women and other Asian women only want to go to America to find a husband and may overstay her visa. Denials have happened many times to Thai women. And for this one fine Thai lady - no one cared if her feeling were hurt.

Liberians are allowed to come to America even though statistics show that about half will overstay their visa. I would bet good money that half of the 13,000 Liberians in Dallas (who knew) are visa over stayers... Mr. Duncan quit his job, lied on a Liberian Immigration form, is poorly educated, offers next to nothing of value to America but is granted a visa... while a Thai women is denied a visa to go to America to present her PhD Dissertation... That’s what we have folks - a dysfunctional government.

Bottom Line is - it does not matter if Ebola will take hold in America or not... it does not matter is Ebola can be treated in America and people will survive it... We do not want to be even exposed to Ebola - because it is not necessary ... it can be stopped and could have - should have been stopped months ago... And Americans have a right to demand it.

But we have bleeding heart liberals with no brains making decisions. Making decisions counter to the health and welfare of Americans.

Many of us Americans do know ILLOGICAL policies when we be see them... And there is no logic supporting the U.S. Government’s stance on continuing to allow people from West African Countries to enter America... Had such a policy been in place even a month ago ... Mr. Duncan would have never been diagnosed with Ebola in Dallas, Texas.

[Why would it take 48 hours to get the results back? I had heard the tests could take 12 hours....but 48?]

Maybe if they put the sample on the bus and it sits in the bus station a while. Hopefully, they’re treating ebola tests a bit more seriously but with this circus, who knows.

http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/lab/default.shtm

“After hours receipt of samples is temporarily unavailable. All packages transported through a courier (FedEx, UPS, LoneStar Overnight) will be accepted during regular business hours. Specimens submitted to Greyhound Bus Station-Austin will be picked up by laboratory staff as usual. Hand-delivered samples will be accepted only during regular business hours Monday - Friday (7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) until further notice.”

One sneeze on an airplane in close quarters...how many pieces of wet fluid is released and hits people in the vicinity, and then they arrive home in their city, get infected, and then sneeze on how many people... and they go home...etc. Body fluids can be released in contact many ways. Wipe their nose and use the doorknob to a public restroom, I mean how long does it take to dry and not be transmitted by another passing into the room?

Seven degrees of seperation or closer....how much distance does a sneeze cover?

I agree with you, that closing the border was a lost opportunity to stop terrorists and illegals.
And this stopping all passports from Ebola nations was another lost opportunity, one that will cost many lives here.
The decisions to arm the Muslim Brotherhood as moderate rebels to take down Assad was a lost opportunity to destroy ISIS before it began by not finding out their real intentions before supporting them, because many MB ended up in ISIS/ISIL. There is a disconnect in this Admin with truth....and our government is not protecting Americans.

I blame Obama people too.

Here are all the tests that currently can be used to diagnose Ebola. They all need different time to run.

Timeline of Infection Diagnostic tests available
Within a few days after symptoms begin Antigen-capture enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) testing
IgM ELISA
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
Virus isolation
Later in disease course or after recovery IgM and IgG antibodies
Retrospectively in deceased patients Immunohistochemistry testing
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
Virus isolation

That’s good. Thanks for the info.

So sad the strategy is to hope they can detain everyone necessary, instead of just not letting in possible Ebola victims.

What can you do to force stoppage of bringing West Africans from the Ebola Hotspots into America — to stop the government from issuing visas to Ebola Hotspot residents ... to stop airlines from flying Ebola Hotspot Residents into the U.S. ?

- Incessantly call/fax/email the corporate headquarters all major International Airlines and tell them point blank that unless they stop transporting residents of West African Ebola Hotspot Residents to America - you will work with an effort to BLACKLIST them along with the efforts of millions of other Americans .. And will contribute to any legal fund to help file lawsuits against them for endangering the American public.

- Incessantly call/fax/email all politicians running for national office - 33 Senate seats up for bid and a large number of House seats... For the Democrats - ridicule them for being obama’s lackeys, lampoon their being dominated by obama’s insane policy of continuing to allow West African Ebola Hotspot Residents into America. Demand of all politicians running for office and those that are not this term... demand that they take definitive action to force the CDC, the State Department and Immigration to cease issuing Visas to Ebola Hotspot Residents... The CDC can issue health advisories insisting that travel by Ebola Hotspot Residents is dangerous to American.

I never understood how the homeless guy ended up in the ambulance anyway.

I didn’t know anybody could just hop in an ambulance and ride along with someone. I thought you had to be a relative or something.

Is there a thread about that on here somewhere?

“It was announced last week that Duncan died. Then they changed the story. Now he’s dead again. I believe he died last week but they wanted to keep it quiet. Knowing it would come out eventually they went ahead and announced it.”

No one changed any story. Some news reporter jumped the gun when it was announced that Duncan had become critical, and issued a story that he had died. As far as I can tell, that was an isolated incident, because all of the other reports at the time got the story right.

Gotta love these conspiracy theories. There is no conceivable reason to cover up a death like this.

One of his own family members tweded that he died at the same time the news article came out. The Government is tightly controlling information release on this situation.

Gotta love the gooberment hacks here constantly spouting the CDC lies and cover-up. It is almost like they want all info suppressed till after the election, wonder why?

LOL, no. He didn’t ride along with Duncan. He was the next (or some number) patient the ambulance picked up after dropping Duncan off at the hospital.
