Can’t believe that the Dallas authorities were so stupid as to send their men, unprotected, into a situation like that.
And to let Youngor, the step-daughter of Duncan, go out to the supermarket when she was supposed to be quarantined.
Or to let her 3 kids into school AFTER the quarantine.
No wonder so many parents are removing their kids from those same public schools! (4 schools involved).
Anyone with a close shave is likely to have a path for infection, you don’t need a gaping wound.

All I can see as far as a path for infection through the outer ear is that the dermis of the ear canal is often broken due to irritations, etc., and some of the skin is very thin. Otherwise it seems the things I read about the ear canal being a likely path for infection were wrong.
