Chris Christie lays the groundwork for a 2016 presidential run
Washington Post ^ | October 8, 2014 | George Will

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie could be forgiven if he had chips on both shoulders as big as those shoulders. This year, the first of his second term, has been overshadowed by often partisan investigations, more protracted than productive, of the involvement of several of his former aides — he fired them — in the closing of some access lanes to the George Washington Bridge.

KK: Mr. 0bama, sir. What groundwork should I lay for my 2016 presidential run?

BHO: um ... uh ... um ... my teleprompter will get with your teleprompter.

Not in a million years. There are some people you just won’t vote for. Chrispy is my line in the sand. Jeb a close second.

Yup, you got it. I live in NJ. If this fat ass, Lou Costello look-a-like f’ing RINO is our candidate that's it, election goes to Hillary or whoever the Democrat is and American is officially and finally done, dead, over with. I ain't kidding.

Lets look at this from a different angle..

I say line up all the GOPe wana be’s and put them on the primary ballot so they split the rino vote and we should end up with Cruz.

This is a gimmick to get him a VP spot, I have no doubt. But he won’t carry any state other than New Jersey, and he’s a three-pound boat anchor in the south....not worth mentioning.

He won't carry New Jersey. Believe me. The only reason NJ has occasional Republican governors is that the state elections are odd-year and it's not worth it to crank up the Democrat machine except in even-year elections. But what Christie could do is be the Republican presidential candidate's attack dog, letting the candidate remain presidential.

Christie couldn't possibly be a worse VP than Biden, and how much damage could he possibly do at the Naval Observatory for 8 years?

(All the Republicans need now is to find an electable presidential candidate. They need a candidate who can run against Hillary, who is already running hard against Obama.)

Yep. And so would Romney. In a saner world, they would be running as Democrats and the ObaMao fringe would be relegated to the status of the Socialist Worker’s Party.

Additionally, assuming it could even be suitably decøntaminated, AF1 would need retrofitted with some kinda real-time counterballast system.
