He won't carry New Jersey. Believe me. The only reason NJ has occasional Republican governors is that the state elections are odd-year and it's not worth it to crank up the Democrat machine except in even-year elections. But what Christie could do is be the Republican presidential candidate's attack dog, letting the candidate remain presidential.
Christie couldn't possibly be a worse VP than Biden, and how much damage could he possibly do at the Naval Observatory for 8 years?
(All the Republicans need now is to find an electable presidential candidate. They need a candidate who can run against Hillary, who is already running hard against Obama.)
Yep. And so would Romney. In a saner world, they would be running as Democrats and the ObaMao fringe would be relegated to the status of the Socialist Worker’s Party.
Additionally, assuming it could even be suitably decøntaminated, AF1 would need retrofitted with some kinda real-time counterballast system.
