Huckabee is to the left of me. If he is ready to abandon the GOP, you can imagine I’m even more ready.

If they run an open-borders, soft-on-abortion, soft-on-same-sex-marriage guy, it will split this party.

The GOP left many of us long ago. They still count on our votes. He might actually make the GOP stop and listen. They group morals voters with him. If they feel they cannot take us for granted... naw, they’ll still pursue the stupid path.

And the arguments are exactly the same, both in reasoning and wording, on the left, too. Only the names change.

Run a candidate who is soft on social issues and soft on the border, and GOP will lose a lot more than just Huck.

Typical responses here from Huck haters.

But that is usually the case. Post a Huck thread and the knee-jerking hate begins as if on cue.

Never mind the fact that Gov. Huckabee is sending a clearly needed message to the RINO’s within the GOP-e that going soft on core issues is a sure fire ticket to Loser City.

Thank God for Mike Huckabee and this message he’s making today. Is he my first choice? Nope. But as others have said, he is far superior to Paul, Christie, Jeb, Mitt and etc.

“GIVE ME MONEY”.
You hit the nail on the head. I really don’t trust any of them any more. The more they run the richer they get.

Provide dramatic positive effects on those in the party that actually believe in its fundamental principles?

the only problem is, if Huck or another conservative runs for president as an independent or 3rd party, it just guarantees that a Democrat, probably Hillary, becomes the next president.

The "centrist" strategy of McCain and Romney worked really well, didn't it?

Agree with Huckabee. The homonazis will use gay marriage to go after the1st amendment and force all to celebrate their lifestyle.

The christian business owners sued by the govt on behalf of homonazis are examples of social issues are no different from economic issues.

Huckabee gives support to good candidates like Steve King and Tom Cotton; and bad candidates like Lamar and Lindsey Graham.

Lamar and Lindsey Graham aren’t exactly case studies in making amnesty appealing to GOP incumbents.

Huckabee is still better than most the governors. Perry, Jindal and Scott Walker are as pro-amnesty and Walker will probably come out against social issues and tell the Tea Party to stop primarying RINOS.

Paul LePage(Maine) and Pat McCrory (NC) are the only governors going against the illegal alien lobby.

Cruz endorsed Doug Ducey and Ducey’s staffer attacked “nativists”.

This is the same guy who exhorted us to “retire the term RINO” among many other things. A double-minded Christian only supports liberal GOP establishment types.

Actions speak louder than words. Wondering if the man is merely being self-serving is fair to do. He’ll have to repudiate many more things before he sounds believable, otherwise he’s in the same category as Rand, Krispy, Bush III, Willard ad nauseam.

I’m not too concerned with whether Huck goes or stays but the GOP is dead if they drop family issues. You can’t lose the culture without losing the war. The idea that people who can’t accept basic assumptions about gender and controlling themselves sexually are some how going to care about debt and spending is ridiculous. The rich ones might be the there aren’t enough of them to make a difference and there are quite a few less of them now that Obama has been at the helm.

Already been done. His name was Mitt Romney.

Apparently enough of the GOP Base is not doing their homework.

The christian business owners sued by the govt on behalf of homonazis are examples of social issues are no different from economic issues.

People who thought same-sex-marriage was a libertarian issue were proved wrong when the government started putting people out of business who didn't agree with it.

If you believe in liberty, you have to oppose same-sex-marriage. It is a moral issue, but its also a liberty issue.

All of you that are bashing Huck, you are not paying attention to what he said. It’s about gay marriage. Unless that’s not what you are concerned about. No wonder we keep falling behind on issues that help our society. Without a society, what good are any rights. Duh.

If that’s what it takes. Goodbye Huck, you schmuck. Take senator sweater with you. These two preachers make my skin crawl. Palin, Cruz know how to frame the culture debate.

Are you saying - if it came down to it - that you would vote for “Rand, Krispy, Bush III, Willard ad nauseam” before you would vote for Huckabee?

If so - you are as big a loser as you appear to be.

No one is saying that Huck is perfect. But you (and so many others) hating on him BECAUSE HIS CHRISTIAN VIEWS OFFEND YOUR LIBERTADIAN VALUES - is pathetic.
