I hear you. I feel the same way. I’ve only found 2 articles about the Supreme Court treachery on voter id. I’m so discouraged. But, I’m seeing read. I can’t wait for November when I’ll march into the polls and slap my driver’s license down on the table, even though they won’t want to see it.

Until this election I’ve worked at the polls for every election for more than 10 years. I quit today. The voter ID issue made it easy.

Surprise! Solid conservatives can WIN.

...

Almost every state has more conservatives than liberals. If the GOP embraced that, they’d win all the time. Reagan won two landslides, and brought a lot of other Republicans with him, yet he is reviled by the the GOP ruling class.

It’s maddening.

We need to put our heads together to figure out how we can win in the primaries.

As far as the presidency goes, we need to lobby Rush, Sean, Glenn and Mark to endorse Ted early, so we can rally around ONE conservative, like the RINOs rally around their guy.

“And for any Freepers who need a reminder, Walker is massively pro-amnesty, bordering on advocating open borders.

Let’s just keep him in WI and out of DC!”

WHERE does this idea come from?!?!

Try living in Massachusetts.

When I retire, I’d like to move. I’m thinking Texas, but I’m afraid it’ll be overrun in ten years.

Also, they think he killed more than one girl, so he is probably going to get the death penalty. They might make a deal with him to find the body and clean up all of the cold cases, but he doesn’t come clean, they are going to charge him with every missing white girl in the state.

From Walker himself. Did you not see all the coverage from his conference call when he articulated that position—and the follow up when he clarified it?

> Republican Gov. Scott Walker is under investigation, and he is reviled by the largest political force in his state.

Correction — he is the largest political force in his state, excepting only the voters in the majority.

> County prosecutors are still investigating him.

They need to be recalled and disbarred.

> And the government employee unions — which failed to block his legislation, failed to recall him, and failed to take back the state legislature — still have it in for him.

So do those on FR who persist in calling him a RINO.

As enraged as I am, you shouldn’t quit, we need you more than ever. Deport gave me some shoulder to cry on, so chin up and get back on the offensive.

It will get fixed as there are other states out there with the same laws. Appeals should get a reversal unless there is a specific word or wording that needs to be changed in the statute.

See following link for discussion, map and table showing each state’s status.

http://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/voter-id.aspx

Introduction: A total of 34 states have passed laws requiring voters to show some form of identification at the polls. As of October 10, 2014, 31 of these voter identification laws are in force. Pennsylvania’s law has been struck down and will not be appealed; North Carolina’s law, enacted in 2013, goes into effect in 2016; and Wisconsin has been blocked by the U.S. Supreme Court from implementing its law for 2014, pending a court case. Texas’ strict photo voter ID law has been struck down by a federal court (an appeal is likely), and an earlier non-strict, non-photo law is in place. Scroll over the map below for state-by state details.

The remaining 19 states use other methods to verify the identity of voters. Most frequently, other identifying information provided at the polling place, such as a signature, is checked against information on file. See NCSL’s Voter Verification Without ID Documents.

Please note that some of the 31 states with voter identification laws in place have enacted stricter requirements with implementation dates in the future. The current, in-effect laws are used here, with footnotes that identify stricter laws to be implemented in 2015 or 2016.

I agree. I've never heard Gov. Walker say ANYTHING about amnesty.

He’s a “path to citizenship” guy (though he says he’d do that more slowly than some) whose big point is that if we let everyone come here legally, they wouldn’t have to break the law getting in.

He’s tried to sound less extreme by claiming he’s not for ‘amnesty’ (because though he’d legalize everyone there’d be a waiting period before they all became citizens), eventually flipping on his opposition to Arizona’s law, and lamenting the cost of the illegal kids his summer. But he’s never wavered on his his big positions of letting everyone who wants to come here in, legalizing those already here, and eventually giving them citizenship.

With the exception of Breitbart, all of your sources are from Wisconsin leftist publications - slanderous to Governor Walker 99 times out of 100.

Do you live in Wisconsin? Have you lived through the past 4 years here on the front lines with us? Your page doesn’t say, but it sure doesn’t sound like it.

The Hill is neither leftist nor based in Wisconsin. I could have added Washington Post and Politico links, but they tell the same story because they are quoting him from a conference call. Also, there’s a link to a direct video where you can listen to Walker in his own words.

I’m not from WI and as I said in my original post, I want to keep him in WI—rather than in DC, where he could help to give this country to the Left via amnesty.

Oh, and funny how I’m not from WI and haven’t been on the “front lines” there with you, but I am better informed on his position for the most important issue in the country.

You win! You’ve convinced me, overwhelmingly NOT to vote for Governor Walker a FOURTH TIME in 4 years. *Rolleyes*

I’ll learn to love the Socialism you’re wishing upon Wisconsin, LOL!

Hello—I think he’s fine in and for WI. I just don’t want him sniffing anywhere near a national campaign. Is that so hard to understand?

I really hope Scott Walker is the President of the United States in January 2017. He is the only one in the country who has been through the ringer and is still keeping his head held high. He does not complain, but just keeps working. As far as Amnesty goes. If your statements are true, he will have the primaries to give his positions. I like the fact of getting baby boomers out of politics. That generation has damaged our country. Cruz/walker or other way would finally bring the Generation X to the leadership that it deserves. Gen X is taking over finally.

I’ve already given plenty of links to Walker’s own damning statements on amnesty.(And you’re an idiot if you fall for new positions a pol takes when running for president.)

I’ve never been one to vote or choose my pols (or pretty much anyone else) by generation. Younger voters on the whole have continued to trend more liberal over time, so by embracing what I imagine is your own generation, you are also embracing on the whole more liberal politics and positions. But I judge people individually as I find them—not by their demographic group.
