The White House is drafting options that would allow President Barack Obama to close the detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, by overriding a congressional ban on bringing detainees to the U.S., senior administration officials said.
Such a move would be the latest and potentially most dramatic use of executive power by the president in his second term. It would likely provoke a sharp reaction from lawmakers, who have repeatedly barred the transfer of detainees to the U.S.

The fact is we have a radical Muslim as President. How much more evidence do people need? This is why on his very day in office, Jan. 20th 2009, the very first thing he tried to do was close Gitmo. His #1 priority above EVERYTHING else was to his Islamo-Nazi brothers and why he freed 5 Taliban commanders not to mention arming and defending Al-Qaeda when they killed 4 Americans including a US Ambassador. We got the enemy in the nations highest office, thank you Democrats. Congress knows this, Republicans know this, Democrats know this and they refuse to do anything about it. They refuse to admit day after day after day we have a national crisis on our hands, and being the self serving pigs they are they would rather have this enemy of the United states destroy the United states rather than admit to a mistake. The problem now is not Obama, we know what he is. The problem is both parties refuse to do their JOB and remove this cretin ASAP.
I really do wonder if Obama is that clueless about how such a move would be perceived. Does he not realize that people would see him as even less competent than they do now?
Maybe he could just hand over the keys to Islamic State and they can keep running missions out of it as a base of operations.

These bufoons will do anything to try and pick up his dismal polling numbers. The problem is, the only ones that approve of him, probably have zero idea what’s going on in the world.
They would be eligible for US citizenship and claim that they should be given refugee status because they arrived from Cuba.
