This is considered an “Italian holiday.” Are the Italians willing to give it up so easily?

The controversial holiday that some Americans want to rename Indigenous People's Day
The holiday is NOT controversial, and those who think it is are NOT Americans.

I think we could just abandon this holiday along with Halloween.

Is it time to say Goodbye to America.
The America I have known from 1776 to 1960 is long dead and the current America is dying a rapid death, racing toward PC totalitarian socialist tyranny.

To our friends in the Great White North, it’s Happy Thanksgiving Day.
The reasons the Holidays coincide is Canadians thank God that Columbus discovered America, otherwise no one would have ever found Canada

It’s a federal holiday.
Why doesn’t Caliph Baraq eliminate it via exec order?

If they want an “indigenous peoples” holiday then get their own flaming day! October 12th is Columbus day. How about Oct 19th or Oct 25th? Why does it have to fall on Columbus day? Truth is they don’t really want their own holiday, they just want to crap on Columbus. It’s the same crap with atheist displays during Christmas season. They don’t have a holiday (by definition — of course April 1st works). They just want to crap on Christianity.
To: Steelfish
Why “rename” it Indigenous People’s Day. Why would we need to “celebrate” that? The indigenous people were here sitting around the campfire eating buffalo on that day. They weren’t out discovering anything. If “Americans” don’t want Columbus day, we should just do away with the holiday altogether and have everybody go to work on that day. JMO.

60 yrs ago, Halloween was basically for kids.
Now it’s an excuse for adults to dress up and party like idiots.
